Depart- The Earth Science Laboratory Lab-oratory at the University of Utah Research Institute released re-leased three technical reports re-ports December 20-21 on geothermal research studies at Roosevelt Hot Springs in Beaver County, Utah. The reports will be made available at 391 -A Chipeta Way in the Research Park. They include: The Geology of Roosevelt Hot Springs Known Geothermal Geother-mal Research Area (KGRA), Beaver County, Utah ,byDr. D.L. Nielson and several other ESL geologists; Radon Emanometry as a Geothermal Exploration Technique; Theory and an Example from Roosevelt Hot Springs KGRA, by Dr. D.L. Nielson; Initial Investigation of Soil Mercury Geochemistry as an Aid to Drill Site Selection ment of Energy's Division of Geothermal Energy. As a related part of the DOEDGE's Industry coupled coup-led program, four data packages pack-ages will be made public which describe drill tests completed by industry at the Roosevelt Hot Springs and Cove Fort-Sulphurdale geothermal geo-thermal areas. These data may be viewed at the Earth Science Laboratory. Reproductions Re-productions will be available at nominal costs. A detailed aeromagnetic survey which covers approximately ap-proximately 200 square miles in Millard and Beaver counties, including the Dog Valley, Cove Fort and Sul-phurdale Sul-phurdale areas, were also released. |
