Show MINING CLAIM OWNERS MUST FILE WITH BLM Your Mining Claim will be void unless you file a copy of your location notice with the BLM (usually the State Office ) as well as the local recorder. If you located lo-cated a claim after October 21, 1976, you have 90 days from date of location, not date of filing, to file with BLM. If you located a claim before October 22, 1976 you have until October 21, 1979 to file with BLM. You are required to file the following documents with BLM: 1. A copy of the location as recorded in local records (include book and page); 2. A statement providing the legal description indicating in-dicating Township, Range, Meridian, State, Section, and Quarter Section ( if not on local record); 3. A map showing the survey sur-vey or protraction grids on which is depicted the location of the claim ( this does not require hiring a surveyor, just tie your claim to a known landmark or Section Marker); Mark-er); 4. A $5.00 service fee for each claim. |
