Remember Re-member them with a Merry Christmas during the holiday season. - 0 - We hope this Christmas season finds you and yours together for the merriest of occasions. We at the COUNTY NEWS wish you all a Merry Christmas. - 0 - The nemisis of every photographer is to shoot pictures pic-tures without film in the camera. As we hurried from one meeting last Thursday to the Senior Citizens Citi-zens Christmas Party, we threw in a roll of film but it didn't mesh right in the gears, and so didn't take up with each exposure. Consequently, we lost the senior citizen pictures, MHS Band, who entertained the more than 65 present, and the Gunnison-Milford ballgame. ' We didn't notice anything wrong until shooting Santa pictures Saturday, and the end of the roll didn't come as it should. 0 - No chance to replay the ball game or senior citizen party, but we did put in a new roll and get some Santa pictures, which you'll find scattered throughout the special Christmas section. Our rule of thumb for shooting Santa pictures is if they can crawl on Santa's knee without help, we don't shoot. If Santa has to give them a boost we take their picture. Our worst regret and we have many is the picture of the little fellow all decked out in a Santa suit of his own who wanted no palaver with the bearded giant. Despite peading from mom and dad, he finally won out, collected his sock full of candy and split the scene. Another young fellow who wasn't too crazy about the idea, quit crying long enough to give Santa a big smack on the cheek before he departed. - 0 - Santa and Mrs. Claus are now hearing the Christmas wishes of youngsters who are children of the little tykes who once sat on their knees, the COUNTY NEWS has recorded re-corded on film and in print each year, many of these first meetings with Santa. Pictures printed in the COUNTY NEWS are available avail-able on a first come - first serve basis for $1.00 each. It's a tradition we hope to continue. - 0 - Also in this special Christmas edition you'll find letters from Santa from elementary students in the county. We've tried to print them exactly as written, with incorrect spelling, etc. We think they are cute and hope you will enjoy them as much as we do. |
