Show EL1T to train in Beaver This Fall's Emergency Medical Technician training course will be held in the Beaver High School on eight weekends from October 6 to December 9, 1978. The course will be directed dir-ected by the Regional Coordinator for EMT, Albert Orton, and will be held Friday Fri-day evenings and all day Saturdays. Sat-urdays. The instruction is designed de-signed to train ambulance attendance, police officers, firemen, jeep rescue personnel per-sonnel and others who may be required to provide paramedical para-medical assistance in the event of injury or illness. Graduates of the training program will be registered with the Utah State Division of Health, and will be awarded award-ed a National Certificate of Completion and shoulder patch. An EMT is a non -medical person with 81 hours of training train-ing beyond the first aid level who is able to assess the nature and severity of an injury or illness and to assume responsibility until the victim can be delivered to medical care. Registration for the course, whether for credit or non credit is $40.00.
