" . - .,-':- -r;:-,- , j -'-" n 1 1 Till i ii ill CHOCOLATE-CRANBERRY BARS 1 package (4 oz.) sweet 1-12 cups granulated cooking chocolate sugar 2 cups unsifted cake flour 2 eggs 12 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon vanilla 34 teaspoon ginger 1 cup whole berry 34 teaspoon cinnamon cranberry sauce 12 teaspoon cloves 12 cup buttermilk 1 cup butter or margarine Confectioners sugar Melt chocolate in saucepan over very low heat, stirring constantly. Cool. Mix flour with baking soda and spices. Cream butter; gradually add granulated sugar, creaming well after each addition. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Blend in melted chocolate, vanilla and cranberry sauce. Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk, beating after each addition until smooth. Pour into greased and floured 13x9-inch pan. Bake at 350 for about 40 minutes or until cake just begins to pull away from sides of pan. Cool 10 minutes in pan; then remove from pan. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar. Cut into bars. Makes 30 bars. |
