Mr. and Mrs. Mart Davis and Frieda Wood dropped in to see her. Thursday night the Miners -ville town council enjoyed a steak supper at the Black Steer in Beaver There were sixteen people attending. Friday night the Elders had their annual Christmas party. A big turkey dinner was served to about 45 couples. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Roberts, Rob-erts, Eleanor Marshall and Nettie Myers spent last Wednesday Wed-nesday in Provo Christmas shopping. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Truman Tru-man and Colleen traveled to Salt Lake City to their daughter's, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Larson's, where the family had a big Christmas party. Ruben Dotson celebrated his birthday Dec. 16th. Happy Hap-py birthday, Ruben. Friday night at the Daisel Davis home the Davis family enjoyed a Christmas party. Turkey and dressing and home-made ice cream were served. Mr. and Mrs. Ber-nell Ber-nell McAffer from Payson, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Davis from Beaver; Mr. and Mrs. Neal Navis, Wilma and Daisel and Todd, Rod and David Mc-Mullin Mc-Mullin attended. The city council put up the Christmas decorations last week. It surely added to the spirit of Christmas. Also, Al-so, the Betterment Club is responsible for the Christmas Christ-mas scene at the Church. It is real pretty, especially at night. Thanks to Del-roy Del-roy Craw who helped the Betterment Club. Darlene Christiansen from Orem was down for a couple of days visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Van Davis, and sister, Heidle. Claus and Melba drove to Sandy and visited with their son, Mr. and Mrs. Arlon Marshall and family. They visited with Mr. and Mrs. Jess McKnight of Sandy. Jess is recovering from open heart surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Low-der Low-der from Hatch, Loretta and friend, Kim visited with Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bailey over the weekend. They enjoyed enjoy-ed making home made candy. James Davis is home from college to spend the Christmas Christ-mas holiday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Billie Davis. Kayleen Carter is home until the New Year to spend Christmas with her parents. Bishop and Mrs. Ross Marshall were in Salt Lake Monday on business and to shop. Sunday morning the Sunday school put on a Christmas program. The Junior Sunday Sun-day school sang songs. The talk by Genille Dalton and a song by Raymond Davis were very nice. Then in church Mr. Stoker from the High Council was the speaker. The Relief Society sang two numbers. Mr. andMrs. Kendall Eyre from Fort Collins, Colorado are spending the holiday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Eyre. For Ruben's birthday his wife, Emily, tells me that his sisters and their husbands Mr. and Mrs. Newel Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wood, and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Davis all called on him. Also, his family from Beaver, Mr. and Mrs. Bryce Gale and Mr. and Mrs. NickDotson visited. They really enjoyed a family get together. Dale and CarlaEyre drove to Las Vegas over the weekend week-end to do their Christmas shopping. Minersville City Council has completed the east end of the city annexation. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Truman, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Bealer, Mr. and Mrs. Fay Marshall, Mrs. Marcie Childs and Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Hollingshead are all part of the city officially of-ficially now. Mr. andMrs. DonaldPitch-f DonaldPitch-f orth spent the weekend vis -iting his sister, Florence Wood and famiy. Florence drove her mother, moth-er, Mrs. Theresa Pitchforth, to Salt Lake where she spent several day visiting those children that live there. Natasha Davis has been confined to the Milford hospital hos-pital but she is home recuperating recup-erating now. Frank Carter spent a few days in the Milford hospital but in now home. Mr. and Mrs. Del Mosher left Tuesday for California to spend the holiday with their children. Wayne Gillins is home from another eye surgery. Mrs. Wayne Gillins andMrs. Tex Marshall drove him to Salt Lake and back. r " |
