Show Lionel Ilollins day at Dixie Former Dixie College Ail-American, Ail-American, Lionel Hollins, currently a starting guard with the World Champion Portland Trailblazers, will return to Dixie on Saturday, September 3, for special ceremonies which will honor the Dixie hero. "We're calling it Lionel Hollins Day," said a proud Coach Doug Allred, who coached Hollins at Dixie in 1972-73 when the Rebels jumped into the National Playoffs. Hollins will be honored at a special fund-raising buffet to be held at 5:00 p.m., September Sep-tember 3, and later that same eveningduringhalftime ceremonies of the Dixie College Col-lege vs. Alumni Football game. "We will officially retire his number 20," said Coach Allred, "and he will be presented pre-sented with a key to the city." Hollins will also be honored honor-ed during the Alumni game halftime ceremonies as he is Presented with an "Outstanding "Outstand-ing Alumnus Citation" by Dixie President, RolfeKerr.
