There were all sorts of people up there trying to salvage sal-vage some of it, which they did, but Ladd figures that he lost roughly 1500 bales. The summer is gone, now that school has started. Lee and Zelma Dearden were in town for a little while today. They were visiting visit-ing Bud and Gen Richardson and a few other friends around town. Next week should be a different story because this weekend will be the Snake Valley Reunion, and there will be all sorts of things happening. Fred and Roberta Conde got home last Wednesday. Both are very glad to be home, and Roberta says she feels a lot better than she did a little while ago. Tuesday evening, Billie Osborn and LaRue Rowley left for Salt Lake. They went up so they could go to the temple with Agnus Dearden and Vera Dearden. Chester and Lorene Wheeler and Carolyn, and Rick Bernier were also up there with them. There may have been others, but I don't know. The fair and horse races in Ely this weekend attracted attract-ed several valley residents. Carl and Aleeda Dearden with their family, and Daisy and Emerson Gonder and their family were there for most of the events. Lee and Darlene Whitlock went Sunday Sun-day for a day's outing.
