On August 25th at 8:30 a.m., a bell rang summoning summon-ing students of Milford back to the class rooms. Waiting there for them were: Mr. Lee Pettey, Principal; Mrs. Alice Elmer, Mr. Leon Gay, Mr. Dale Jensen, Mrs. Patricia Pa-tricia Rimpau, Mr. Donald Willden, Mrs.MargaretMil-ler, Mrs.MargaretMil-ler, Mr. Enoch Swain, Mrs. Mary Raines, Mr. Robert Puffer, andMrs. Bonnie Williams, Wil-liams, secretary; plus new teachers at the high school. Miss Gem Mercer will teach English classes, and 7th and 8th grade girls P.E. She will be coaching girls' volleyball and basketball this year. Miss Mercer was born in Missoula, Montana. She graduated from Sentinel High School. Miss Mercer attended attend-ed the University of Colorado Colo-rado and graduated from the University of Montana with high honors in 1971 with a degree in English Literature. MR. ADDINGTON graduated from Tipton High School in Indiana in 1965. He then attended Ball State University in Indiana. Mr. Addington joined the Air Force in 1966, and in 1970 he served a two-year LDS mission in NewYork.Inl972 he came to Utah to attend BYU where he graduated with a Bachelor in Science. He also studied business, Rus -sian, Economics, and has a Masters in Education. Mr. Addington and his wife Linda have a four -week old son, Daniel. Mr. Addington will be teaching Career Counsel -' ing this year. Joe Hillock was born in Santa Barbara, Calif, where he attended high school and junior college. He came to Utah and attended Southern Utah State College at Cedar City. He was assistant basketball bas-ketball coach at Cedar City High School when they took the state basketball championship. cham-pionship. Mr. Hillock was basketball coach at Gail Goodrich Basketball Camp at New Orleans and at the Los Angeles Lakes pro basketball bas-ketball Camp in Los Angeles, both which are NBA ; and also at other camps in the area. Dave Houle attended high school at Dugway, Utah. He attended Dixie College and SUSC at Cedar City. He graduated grad-uated in 1977. He was afoot-ball afoot-ball player at SUSC and assistant as-sistant JV basketball coach there, and did his student teaching at Parowan High School. There is a Health Occupation Occupa-tion class being taught by Gayle Gale that is new this year. It should be interesting. interest-ing. Friday, August 26th, the students of MHS held class meetings to vote on class presidents, vice presidents, secretaries, etc. The following follow-ing were voted into the student stu-dent council: seniors, Pres. Dave Pullem, vice president, Rick Puffer; secretary, Kim Brox. Juniors: president, Todd Atkin; vice president, Laurel Lounsbury; secretary, secre-tary, Carol Albrecht. Prom chairperson, Rollo Sears; assistance prom chairperson, chairper-son, Louise Smith. Sophomores: Sopho-mores: president, Darin Malchus; vice president, Sherman Sullivan; secretary, Kathy Myers. Freshmen: "A J j -A 1 1 ' j ! y MISS MERCER She then taught 7th, 8th, 11th and 12th grade English at St. Ignatius, Montana for one year. She also coached girls' varsity basketball.
