A skit was presented pre-sented on the lessons for the coming year showing how each one can benefit from each lesson. A short program pro-gram was also given, then lovely and delicious refresh -ments were served to those present. Lorraine Horton and mm w W T V family of Idaho were here during the week to visit her mother, Eulalia Davis, who is in the hospital. She also visited her brother, Bill and sister-in-law, Ranae Davis. Visiting with Neal and Helen Davis is Helen's mother, Dena Dove of Win -nemucca, Nevada. Bernice Ashley went to Ely, Nevada, Tuesday, to visit her children, Russell and Janey Hortonand family. The little lad has one sister at home; also a great grandmother, Mrs. J. R. Holley of Murray. Grant and Blanche Pryor had friends from Tucson, Arizona as weekend guests. Beulah Wood drove to Panaca, Friday, to attend the wedding of somefirends. She stayed until Saturday night visiting with herchild-ren, herchild-ren, LaVar and Patsy Hoi -lingshead and family. Joe Kelsey , son of Bill and Kaye Kelsey, was 8 years old on Saturday, Sept 25. He had a party after school to celebrate the occasion. Net and Ruth Craw will leave during the week for a two -week visit with their daughter Ann and family in Wisconsin. Shirley Hollingshead was admitted to the Milford hospital hos-pital Friday to be treated for low blood pressure. Noel and Dorothy Wood had as visitors for a week, Dorothy's sister, Beverley and husband James A. Glenn of Kearns. The group spent the week out west hunting pine nuts. At the recent stock show in Cedar City, the cattle sold were judged a week later in a carcass contest. Ellen Wood won 2nd place with a prize of $50. Ellen is the daughter of NoelandDorothy Wood. Bryon Wood, son of Vern and Florence Wood, won 4th place with a prize of $10. Lori Limb,, daughter of Richard and Sue Limb, was 8 years old on Thursday, Sept. 23. That day after school she invited her classmates class-mates to a party. Eulalia Davis is in the Milford Mil-ford hospital receivingmedi-cal receivingmedi-cal treatment. Eulalia has been quite sick for the past two weeks, but is improving now. The Senior Citizens "Happy "Hap-py Miners" group enjoyed a potluck supper and a fun time at the school Wednesday Wednes-day evening. Florence Wood and daughter daugh-ter Denis e and Frieda Wood were in Provo Thursday shopping for school clothes. Max and Anna Rae Carter took their daughter Kayleen to Provo Wednesday. Kayleen 1 will be attending the Provo Trade Tech this winter. Clark and Mary Gillins were in Provo Wednesday. They took their daughter Wendy up to enter the Provo Trade Tech for this winter. Allen Jameson of Bountiful Bounti-ful visited his parents, Del-bert Del-bert and Effie Jameson, Wednesday Wed-nesday and Thursday. He was down to attend to business for the Mountain Bell Co. Doug Blackburn, Bryant Davis, Ruben Dotson, and Doug A lbrecht were the lucky hunters of the special elk hunt held in the west hills this past week. Each one got a nice size elk. Ned and Ruth Daly of Beaver Beav-er and Era and Shirley My-ers My-ers spent the weekend cam ping p-ing and gathering pine nuts out west. Visitors Friday and Saturday Sat-urday at the home of Clark and Mary Gillins were La-Vern La-Vern and Virginia Holzer and Mr. andMrs.SimonHol-zer andMrs.SimonHol-zer of Grand Junction, Colo. Mary and Virginia are sisters. Michael Gillins has enrolled en-rolled at the Provo Trade Tech School for the coming year. Marybelle Eyre and son Rodney of Salt Lake visited over the weekend with her husband, Garold Eyre. Visiting Clauss and Melba Marshall for a few days during dur-ing the week was Melba's m other, Mrs. Connie Holley of Salt Lake. Connie Marshall and her two sisters, Mrs. Lew Black of Las Vegas and Mrs. Charles Madsen of Pleasant Grove, spent Sunday in Junction Junc-tion visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Price. They were there to wish their mother a happy 75th birthday. birth-day. Mrs. Black stayed over Sunday night with Vance and C onnie. Mary Beth Bailey has been in the Milford hospital for a few days receiving medical treatment. Sunday evening in Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting the Beehive Girls gave the program. Lynnley Dalton was in charge; she announced the following.
