Beaver's score came when, on a 4th down, Doug Farns-worth Farns-worth blocked the Kanab punt on the 15 yard line and Larry Gurr recovered and ran in for the TD. Mitch Oakden kicked the extra point. Beaver Beav-er travels for the next two weeks, and then hosts Mil-ford Mil-ford for Homecoming. Our corrected schedule is: Oct. 1 - Beaver at Parowan Oct. 8 - Beaver at No. Sevier Oct. 15 - HOMECOMING Milford at Beaver. The FHA had a slumber party last Thursday night to initiate their new members. The Officers cooked breakfast break-fast Friday morning for the other members. The B-Steps held their swearing-in ceremony Thursday night. Linda Robinson, Rob-inson, and Advisor, Miss Turner were the speakers. Members were sworn in and the girls drew the names of their 'Secret Sisters' forthe year. Refreshments were served. A Hula Hoop throw was held Wednesday afternoon on the fottball field. All the girls lined up while the boys paid a quarter a throw to see if they could get the hoop over one of the girls. If they caught one, she had to be their "slave" for three days. The Junior Varsity blanked blank-ed out the Richfield JV team 41 to 0 in a pouring rain. This brings their record to 4-0. The Seminary students enjoyed en-joyed a Saturday trip to St. George for roller skating |
