The babies were passed around and got kisses and hugs from every -' body. i don't know what I'd have done without Mom, Dad and the family. Larry was called away to work for the first few months, and they were really a big help to me." "Right from the start we decided that rather than doing do-ing each child feeding, changing, etc., whenever they woke up, we'd do everything every-thing at the same time. He often says to other new mothers, "We got two new babies, you only got one, how come?" Maradie and Mark celebrated cele-brated their first birthday last month. They are really active and climb into, onto, over and under everything. Maradie loves to hug and kiss her brothers and rock her dolly to sleep. "I'm not leaving this office until you X-ray and find out," I said. So they did and sure enough there were two. Mother was with me and saw the X-ray she was thrilled." Being the parents of twins is sometimes some-times hectic, but we wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!" $$$$$ Rita sent along a family favorite Cream Puff recipe. It sounds delicious. SHELL: 1 C water 12 C butter 1 C flour 4 eggs Bring water and butter to boil. Add flour , stir till forms a ball. Remove from heat and beat in eggs. Drop 14 C 3 inches apart on ungreased sheet. Bake at 400 for; 35 to 40 minutes. Cut off tops. Makes 12 Puffs. FILLING: 34 C sugar 3 T cornstarch 14 t. salt 3 egg yolks beaten 34 C water 1 T butter 1 T grated lemon peel 13 C lemon juice 1 C cream whipped 1-12 T. sugar 12 t. vanilla Mix 34 C sugar, cornstarch, salt. Mix yolks and water and gradually add to sugar mix. Cook till thickened and boils one minute. Remove from heat. Add butter, juice and peel, cool. Whip cream with sugar and vanilla, fold into mixture. mix-ture. Spoon into shells. Replace Re-place tops; Chill. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serves 12. |
