Show the youth talking about his area of specialty alcohol ' ,v' and drugs. It was a most informative session, quite casual and open. Youth and youth leaders thorougly enjoyed en-joyed it. been busy. Two weeks ago they met North Sevier there and defeated them 19-0. Last Friday found them at home against Milford. Beaver won this game 37-0. The very next afternoon the Beaver Beavers traveled to Hurricane Hurri-cane and played to a loss of 32-20. It is extremely tiring on these boys to play two games, back to back. They did as well as they could under the circumstances circum-stances and we all appreciate appre-ciate that. Third Ward LDS Church was fortunate to have a special spe-cial speaker last Tuesday night. Brent Turek, .Five-County .Five-County Director of drug and alcohol, spent an hour with School, plus several townspeople, towns-people, enjoyed their performance. per-formance. The fundamentals of ballet were explained and most of the students found this to lie repetitious of previous pre-vious years. Following this was an original, clever and interesting dance entitled 'Salt Lake City Rag'. It was an excellent opportunity for us in the rural areas to see and understand a different part of the art world that most of us are seldom exposed ex-posed to. Certainly, these dancers were in fantastic physical condition and it is interesting to note the great skill this type of exercise takes from all who perform. Several students were able to go up to Logan's campus of the UofU last week for the State 4-H competitions. Representing Rep-resenting Beaver County were Jacie Carter, Nanette Smith, Suzanne Bradshaw, Cindy Webster, Kim Now-ers, Now-ers, John Roberts, all of Beaver, and Lois Price and Renee Vanderstein from Milford. Miriam Limb and Mrs. Nowers accompanied them. Several entries were sent ahead of time so Beaver Beav-er Countv was well represented. repre-sented. These youth also had an opportunity to attend the Utah State Fair. Beaver's football team has BEAVER BUZZIN'S 438-2233 Frost has hit our garden, so fall is here. The last day of summer was Monday and it was beautiful. So we are in a lovely time of year. Let's all enjoy it. Dairy princess, Carolyn Roberts, and her attendants, Denise Wood, Kaylene Carter, Cart-er, Ann Marie Coates, and Wendy Gillins, have been busy putting on their skit about cheese and teaching school children to sing "Cheese is a Natural" around Beaver County. Ar-lene Ar-lene Carter, with assistance from Janice Roberts, have helped the girls out. It's fun to watch, and informative. We appreciate it, girls.
