Show LETTERS " there and spent a peaceful though short night. The next day we not only made Reno, but safely arrived home in San Francisco by 4:00 p.m. The little town of Milford, including also your charming charm-ing English head nurse at the hospital and other cheerful cheer-ful staff will always be remembered with your jaunty Dr. Symond, those Good-Samaritan Jeffs and cheerful reassuring "Mr. Bud". Thank you all and God bless you all for beingthere!! Cordially, Christiana S . Graham EDITOR'S NOTE: In checking, check-ing, we were unable to determine de-termine who Mr. Jeffs was, nor do we know which English En-glish nurse since there are three who are possibilities. However, we hope all who as -sisted this lady and her mother mo-ther will recognize themselves. Dear Sir: On August 10th we felt the hand of God as we journeyed through your beautiful state. There is a saying that "one goes from hand to hand" through life. How true that Saturday. First, Dr. D. A. Symond, the "total medical staff of the community" (that day anyway) graciously treated my mother at the hospital as an emergency patient. Then our car broke down half way past a sign which said"Next service 78 miles" (toward Baker) andMr. Jeffs and his son and son-in-law and a friend were returning to the Milford area and stopped stop-ped to help us. They were the first car along within five minutes on a quite warm afternoon! af-ternoon! They gave our overheated radiator water and followed us back to Milford. My Mother, Mo-ther, almost 85, was zonked out by the shot Dr. Symond had given her for comfort when he urged us to hurry on to Reno for more medical care for this undertermined condition. Then the Jeffs advised us to go to Bud's Conoco Station Sta-tion in Milford. "Mr. Bud" had to come from his home and immediately diagnosed and corrected our problem. Dr. Symond meanwhile reassured re-assured me by phone about Mother and the dependability dependabili-ty of Mr. Bud, and we were off again shortly to Baker where we know Dr. andMrs. Joseph Griggs and the friendly friend-ly motel and storekeeper |
