Show Rocky Ford Lets $133,804 Contract For Ditch Lining Construction of the Rocky Ford Ditch Lining Phase of Minersville Watershed Project Pro-ject is expected to start this week, according to Vance Marshall, Contracting Officer Of-ficer for the Rocky Ford Irrigation Ir-rigation Company. Western Rocks Products Inc., of Cedar City Utah, was the successful bidder at $133,804.42. The project serves about 1000 acres of irrigating land with 15 land ownerships under un-der six of the lateral ditches from the rocky ford canal between Minersville, and Milford, Utah. It consists of about 21,000 lineal feet of concrete canal lining with reinforced concrete structures struc-tures and a regulating reservoir. reser-voir. Most of the ditches are on steep slopes where erosion ero-sion and water control are problems. Supervision of construction construc-tion will be furnished by the Soil Conservation Service with Milo Lyon as project Engineer. Financing will be through individual and company com-pany funds with a Division of Water Resources Loan and P.L. 566 watershed funds, through the S.C.S. |
