MILFORD, UTAH 84751 THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 1974 VOLUME 74 NO. 39 PHENOMENON OCCURS AT GOLF COURSE A strange thing is happening at the Milford Golf Course. More and more people are participating in this strange happening. It matters not what time of day, though daylight hours seem to be best. But it's said, If you drive out to the new golf course, get out of your car and walk out on the fairway, It'll happen to you. It's there that It happens. As you walk through the beautiful green grass you'll get the urge to look down. There among the blades of new grass you'll find a multitude of rocks, cans, glass and other paraphernalia. Now some of these rocks are very pretty, and you'll have an urge to pick them up and put them In your pocket. Some of them may be arrow heads or Indian artifacts. Much of the bottle glass has been turned turn-ed to beautiful shades of purple (commonly known as desert amethyst). Amongst the other trash are valuable antiques, some worth many dollars. As you search for the rare and valuable, you'll find It much easier If you dispose of that which is not so rare and valuable. To do this - just cast those stones, cans, and bottles into the rough on either side of the fairway. Now this Is when the phenomenon occurs. As you do this you'll feel a release of anger and frustration. A certain relaxation will overtake you and you will feel a sense of well-being and tranquility in this troubled world. But that is not all. Regardless of whether you find a valuable gemstone, bottle, artifact, or antique, you ,wlll find you've done a service for yourself and each and every resident and property owner In Milford. Whether you play golf or not, even if you never pick up a club, you'll benefit from the new golf course. The completion of this community recreational asset will increase property values. It will give pride to the present and heritage to future generations. Age Is no pre -requisite. An excellent way to spend an evening with the family. A chance to be alone. Try it! . . - - |
