Show GENERAL MANAGER OF UP TO RETIRE JANUARY 1st Glenn A. Cunningham, general gen-eral manager of Union Pacific Railroad's South-Central district, dis-trict, will retire Jan. 1, it was announced recently by W. J Fox, U. P. vice president of operations. Succeeding Cunningham will be Robert L. Richmond, who is now assistant ' to the vice president-operation at Omahs and has served in Utah on three previous assignments in his career. A native of Texas, Cunningham Cunning-ham joined Union Pacific ini 1940 after previous service with the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad. He was transferred trans-ferred to Las Vegas in charge of southern Nevada operations in 1941 and moved to Salt Lake City in 1945. In 1947 he was appointed assistant. superintendent superin-tendent of Union Pacific's Idahc division with headquarters at Salt Lake in 1948. He was moved to Cheyenne as general superintendent of the road's Eastern district in 1952 and ha been general manager at Salt Lake since 1957. Richmond was born in Wyoming Wy-oming and educated in Idaho. He started service with Union Pacific in 1937 as a student telegrapher. In 1969 he became general superintendent of the Northwestern district, and became be-came assistant to vice president-operation at Omaha, Nebr. Jan. 1, 1971. |
