Show imum SPAGHETTI FOR A CROWD . . . It's a PTA potluck supper, a neighborhood get-together, an after-game party. Whatever the occasion, you. need a large enough casserole to serve a "small crowd". Select one that's sure to be a people-pleaser, like ol' fashioned spaghetti. (Regardless if you're six or sixty, it's sure to be' one of your favorites!) The secret of the spaghetti recipe is in the sauce, for it's quickly made from cans of Condensed Tomato Soup. (You don't need to make the sauce from scratch ... its base is found right inside the cans of soup!) Simply add ground beef, Italian sausage slices, and seasonings to turn the sauce into something special. Then, just toss the spaghetti, bake it, and let the guests serve themselves! With these tricks, even spaghetti for ten becomes a "snap"! SPAGHETTI APLENTY ' 2 pounds ground beef 2 soup cans water Vi pound Italian sausage, 2 teaspoons vinegar sliced 2 teaspoons salt 1 Vi cups chopped onion 1 pound spaghetti (broken 2 large cloves garlic, minced into pieces), cooked 1 tablespoon Italian Vi pound sliced seasoning Mozarella cheese 5 cans (1034 ounces each) Condensed Tomato Soup In large heavy pan, brown beef and sausage and cook onion, garlic, and Italian seasoning until onion is tender. Stir in soup, water, vinegar, and salt. In two shallow baking pans (13 Vi x 9Vi" each) or two 3-quart casseroles, combine spaghetti and sauce. Bake at 350 F. for 20 minutes. Top with cheese; bake 10 minutes more. Makes 10 servings. |
