Show Anybody lose a brand new 1935 Nebraska license plate. Gary Sullivan found one, still in its wrapper, when remodeling remodel-ing his office at the Atlantic-Richfield Atlantic-Richfield Bulk Plant. He said there was also a Nebraska truck plate, but that there was no date on it. He has no idea where they might have came from and how they got mislocated. O A real boo boo in our column col-umn last week, stated development develop-ment of sites in Millard County Coun-ty "will not" deprive Beaver County of taxes. This should have read "will net only" de prive us of the tax base (according (ac-cording to estimates, nearly $19,000 in property taxes alone) but these businesses in Millard County will take just as much business from the main drag in Beaver as thev would in Braver County whre the developers de-velopers want to locate. o On page seven of this issue, is the "Notice of Public Hearing" Hear-ing" dealing with the Pine Creek Issue." Read it. research it. and the developments, look at both sides of the picture, the Beaver County Planning Commission has recommended this development and rezoning, I recommend it. But make up your own mine, talk to your County Commissioners, talk to the people of Beaver. Min-ersville Min-ersville and Milford, and then see that your commissioners get the benefit of this research. o Your own thinking could be the turning point, the key thought that will be the determining deter-mining factor in their vote. It is only through examination and cross examination that we discover what is truly best, in each situation, don't be led by the nose, by someone padding his own pocket. o Homecoming this Friday and anyone who has never taken in the assembly at the high school is in. for a treat this year. We managed to get around to see it last year and were delighted with performances perfor-mances by Zelda Coon and also by Phyllis Whittaker. We don't know who will be on can bet, we won't miss it. Don't you miss it either. The Tigers showed some of the .stuff they're made of last Friday against Lincoln County and we thought they looked the best we've ever seen. True they had three lapses, that cost three touchdowns, but, it was not a crucial game, and also they maintained a good lead throughout the game. o Most impressive were the statistics. They meet Panguitch Friday in the Homecoming game and should be UP for the alumni, if they can keep their momentum, they should be six touchdown favorites, if you go by comparative scores. The only thing that can beat them now is their selves. Go get 'em Tigers! o Funny how little the left hand knows about the right. Last Wednesday we tried to find out through the Fish and Game who had lucked out on the Indian Peak Elk draw. No body in the office knew or would pass out the information. Early Thursday morning I again called, and after some coaxing, was able to learn that Normand Thompson, Tommy Yee, and Dennis Miller of Milford Mil-ford and Lyle Carter of Min-ersville Min-ersville each got one of the ten permits in the area. I then proceeded to sit down and open my mail, and behold there is a twenty page release giving every lucky hunter in the state. Now my question is this, why couldn't they have answered our question on Wednesday, Wed-nesday, so that it could be published in that paper. They must have had the information, in order to have had the printer print-er make the release, and even the mails don't run that fast. o Lee Brown, Salt Lake and a former publisher of the Beaver County News from 1926-29 stopped in last week. He also used to work in the Baldridge chain of newspapers in south-err, south-err, Iowa, stomping grounds for 'Ye 'ol Ed'. We were surrounded surround-ed by Baldridge papers. o Continued on Page Six HERE'S MORE ABOUT JUST BETWEEN Continued from Page One Several young fellows in recent re-cent months have found and turned in to the News, some valuable items that have been lost.
