Show Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Mayer and daughter, Sandi, spent the Labor Day holiday at Yellowstone Yellow-stone National Park. Lucile Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Smith, is visiting with them this week. Rique Hernandez, nephew of Mr. a.nd Mrs. Don Heath, celebrated cele-brated his second birthday here in Milford on September 4th.i The party included a birthday cake, ice cream, games and a breaking of a pinata to end the party. A group of 15 neighborhood neigh-borhood children attended. Rique Ri-que is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hernandez of Los Angeles, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hernandez and children, Delaine, Rayness and Rique of Los Angeles, Calif, have been visiting Mr. a.nd Mrs. Don Heath and family fam-ily for the past week. Mrs. Hernandez is Mrs. Heath's sister. sis-ter. Mr. and Mrs. Jr. Kirk and family drove to Ely, Nev. last Saturday to attend the wedding wed-ding of Mrs. Kirk's neice, Miss Brenda Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Davis, formerly of Milford. Mr. and Mrs. Craig Kiik and son Jason of Salt Lake City spent the holiday weekend with their parents, Mr. andj Mrs. Jr. Kirk, and other relatives rela-tives of Mifolrd. Mr. and Mrs. Georg Hartl-maier Hartl-maier Sr. from West Germany, and Mr. and Mrs. Georg Hartl-maier, Hartl-maier, Jr. and three children ol Brian Head were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. McDonalds Mc-Donalds and Dan Fergusons. Mrs. Hampton Burke has returned re-turned from a two week visit in Southern Calif. She visited with Doctor and Mrs. Herman Mayer at Santa Barbara, Dr. Mayer served as an exchange professor at Santa Barbara College. Their home is in Chicago. Chi-cago. Mrs. Burke was a guest of her cousin, Dorothy Jamesi Leonard at Seal Beach for several sev-eral days. Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Labrum.; Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Gray and children, Debbie and Kevin. Sunday, September 5th, litlle Bryan Armon Whiting was Labrum also visited her sori blessed during services at the L D. S. Church. His father, Peter Ray Whiting, did the nonors. Little Christopher Wade son of Douglas and Nedra Carter Car-ter was blessed by his great-great-grandfather, Mr. D. A. Tanner. Also, little Buffy De-nise, De-nise, daughter of Dennis and Bonnie Hardy, received his blessing by Norman Thompson. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Walker for the last two weeks were their nephew, neph-ew, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gibson and two children of Chino, Calir. Mrs. Grace Higbee and four children of Sante, Calif, has returned to her home after a brief stay with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Howard Lund. She accompanied her parents to Salt Lake City, where they attended tthe funeral of Mr. Neil Lund, father of Howard, who passed away August 20. Mrs. Laura Goodman and son, Michal cfg Santa Paula, is here to stay with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Lund while her husband, Ray, is attending training camp at Lackland Air Force Base. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Taylor (Vickie) of Salt Lake City spent the holiday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Lamb. Mrs. Perry Barstenn and children and Mr. Sidney Whit-lock Whit-lock of Las Vegas and Mr. and Mrs. Ron Gilliam and children of West Minister, Calif, were holiday guests at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Gilliam. Mrs. Sarah Atkin celebrated her 89th birthday with friends and neighbors on August 24 at the home of her daughter, in-law, Mrs. Lillian Atkin. Refreshments Re-freshments were enjoyed by all who called to wish her a happy birthday. Mrs. Naomi Hughes returned Tuesday from Bountiful where she visited her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Yount returned this week from Ogden where tthey visited their new granddaughter, Jenny. Parents are Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Nee-ley. Nee-ley. Jenny joins a brother, Slade, at home. Mr. and Mr. Bill Griffiths and three girls were here for a weeks visit with Bill's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Morg Griffiths. Grif-fiths. They left last Sunday. Monday during the evening meal, a tornado hit the housing area in Tempe, Ariz, where they live and there was extensive exten-sive damage done to their home. The family escaped unhurt un-hurt and are staying at a motel mo-tel until they can arrange to go home. Mrs. Kenneth (Cheryl) Elmer and son Andy spent two weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Wunderlich and Mr. and Mrs. Don Elmer. She is moving from Pensecola, Fla. to Corpus The funeral was held at Monmouth Mon-mouth on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. J. Kirk and family have returned fron their vacation trip where they visited visit-ed Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Turner anl family in Las Vegas. While there the children enjoyed water skiing at Lake Mead. They drove to Los Angeles and( Anaheim for a tour of Hollywood, Holly-wood, Disney Land, Marine Land and Knotts Berry Farm. Mrs. Cleo Labrum and Mrs. Wendell Keetch spent the holiday holi-day weekend visiting withj their children and grandchildren, grandchil-dren, Mr. and Mrs. Max Keetchj in Las Vegas. While there Mrs. Christy, Tex. where her husband hus-band is being transferred while serving in tthe Naval Air Force. Mr. and Mrs. Glendo.n Banks and children, Jason and Khris-ten Khris-ten of Haywood, Calif, have bc.en visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Banks this past week. Sunday, members of the family, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Alger and children, Cedar City, Mr. and Mrs. Richard D. Banks and children, Mrs. Lelores Bis-' hop and Mr. and Mrs. Mel Tait and daughter Karen and her fiance, Wayne Patterson, Beaver, spent the day at Rock Corral where they enjoyed a cook-out. Labor Day, Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Banks and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Banks drove to Enterprise to visit relatives there and Mr. and Mrs. Randal Banks of Minersville. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Ben Briscoe were called to Monmouth, Mon-mouth, 111. due to the illness of Mrs. Briscoe's mother, Mrs. Bertha Sage. They left Sunday after receiving the news of her death. She was 78 years old. |
