Show CITY DADS REJECT CLAIM FOR FIRE LOSS Following are minutes of the regular meeting of the Milford City Council. Letters were read from Senator Sen-ator Moss and Mr. Neuhaxt of the Union Pacific expressing their views on reduction of jobs on the Union Pacific. Recorder read a letter from Clauss Marshall asking for $1500.00 to pay for the hay which was burned on his farm in South Milford. He felt that the city was responsible. A letter was written to Mr. Marshall Mar-shall stating that the city has no funds available to make reimbursement re-imbursement and that they had done all they could and that it was not neglect that the "Flat" firetruck was broken brok-en down; it was being repaired at that time. Motion was made by Councilman Coun-cilman Symond that the recorder re-corder contact the Railroad asking for a meter reading for one ' week on the wells the railroad wishes the city to take over. The city attorney was instructed in-structed to draw up a rental agreement for the hangars at the airport between the aircraft air-craft owners and the city. Council discussed the airport air-port lease, after which the recorder re-corder was instructed to send a copy of the proposed lease to our insurance company to see if insurance covered Mr. Briscoe Bris-coe as manager. Mayor Fisher read a letter from Mr. Thatcher, of the State Board of Health, asking what the city was doing toward to-ward sewage disposal. Mayor Fisher was instructed to write; Mr. Thatcher stating the various vari-ous problems we are having at this time. Recorder was instructed to write to Assistant Fire Chief A. J .Kirk concerning his desire de-sire to resign. |
