Leland Beard of Salt Lake spent last week end at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Beard Sr. Hubert and Dorothy Smith are proud parents of a 7 lb 6 oz daughter, born Sept. 18 in Logan. Grandma Vilate Lang will go up soon to see the newcomer. Mr. and Mrs. Alva Kirk served a turkey dinner for their son Craig and Robert Smith, before they left for Logan to enroll at the USU. Sisters of Mrs. Bob Conners and their famiiles, Mr. and Mrs. William Clark and daughters Pamela and Sirsan of Whittier, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Evanger of San Jose, Calif, were recent guests at the Conners Con-ners home and enjoyed camping camp-ing in the Beaver Mountains. Glenn Rollins has returned to his home in Brentwood, Cal., after spending two weeks visiting visit-ing friends and relatives in West Beaver County." The couple named their firstborn Gary Lee Jr. Mrs. Nora Wright, and family fam-ily would like to thank all those who remembered her while she underwent surgery in Salt Lake. She received many cards, flowers, letters and, gifts. e Mr. and Mrs. James Wester-gard Wester-gard of Bellflower, Calif., were in Milford recently visiting old friends. They were house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Don Elmer. Jim said that Mabel is a "real golfer," and has won four trophies since moving mov-ing to California. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Warren War-ren Atkin two days last week were Mrs. Atkin's brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. LaMoine Lewis and daughter Mrs. Judy Challin and baby David, all of Ogden. The Murie family visited for a few days in Stockton and Ophir, and enjoyed a steak fry at Ophir participated in by 34 of the Ophir residents. Linda Murie will leave this week to enroll at the CSU in Cedar City. Keith and Connie Gillins are now in Logan where both will attend Utah State. Mrs. Ethel Smith and Mrs. Judy Briscoe will motor to Nephi this week to see Mrs. Smith's brother, Vernon Burns, who is in a critical condition in a Nephi hospital. Mr. and Mrs. F. K. White and children have moved into a Union Pacific "Company Bow" house. Mr. and Mrs. Jake S:how received re-ceived word that Mrs. Margaret (Peg) Burnett died suddenly of a stroke Saturday morning. Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed Thursday in Glendale, Cal. A family dinner was served at Hillcrest in Spanish Fork Canyon. It was the first time in 30 years that all the Fields children had been together. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Outzen, Mrs. Olive Root and Mrs. Winnie Win-nie Johnson and Mrs. Cenda Larsen of Fillmore attended funeral services for a cousin, Thad Hansen, in Provo last Wednesday. j e Mr. and Mrs. Eldoir Burke spent a few days this week in Salt Lake. a Bob and Mary J. Colligan ' and her daughter, Mrs. Rosemary Rose-mary Fullenwider, all of Las Vegas, visited Mrs. Tillie Rae Dixson Sunday prior to funeral services for Mrs. Colligan's mother, Mrs. Rose Lee, held in Beaver.
