Show LEGION PLANS FALL ACTIVITIES At a special meeting of Milford Mil-ford Post No. 16, The American Ameri-can Legion, last Friday evening eve-ning the veterans outlined their fall program of activities. Regular Reg-ular meeting night was changed to the second Thursday in each month. A joint Legion - Auxiliary party was scheduled for Monday, Mon-day, Sept. 25, in Legion Hall, with the ladies furnishing a pot-luck feed and bridge and pinochle to follow. The annual Deer Hunters Ball will be staged on Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Oct. 18, with Jake Schow's Redcoats furnishing the music, Dancing will start at 9:30 p. m. and continue until 1 a. m. Work days will be called on several evenings, after the Legionnaires Le-gionnaires finish their regular work, to complete the ladies' kitchen and finish the "trim" around the paneling and ceiling. ceil-ing. These work days will be announced by Commander Kirk. Until a teen orchestra is organized or-ganized and ready to play for dancing, the Legion will offer several fall "record hops" with the teens dancing to juke box or record player music. |
