Show Musical Pageant Set For Salt Lake City Tabernacle A musical Christmas pageant aimed at the family will be presented pre-sented in the Tabernacle on Salt Lake City's historic Temple Square next week. The pageant, "Christmas A Gift of Love," will be staged three evenings, Tuesday, Wednesday, Wed-nesday, and Friday, December 18, 19 and 21, at 8 p.m. There is no admission charge. Produced by the Primary Association As-sociation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the pageant features both live and taped music, live drama and motion pictures on an extra large screen. Mrs. Dwan Young, director of the pageant, says " 'Christmas A Gift of Love' has something some-thing for every member of the family, regardless of age." Still, to come, besides the Christmas pageant, is The Tabernacle Tab-ernacle Choir concert, scheduled schedul-ed for Thursday, Dec. 20, at 8 p.m., and the "Messiah", to be presented Saturday, December 15, at 7:30 p.m., and again Sunday, Sun-day, December 16, at 2 p.m. All of these performances are open to the public and there is no admission charge. Meanwhile, visitors to famous fa-mous Temple Square In the heart of downtown Salt Lake City this Christmas season will see the always popular outdoor Nativity Scene, the Christmas scene in the old log cabin, and a series of paintings on the life of Christ, displayed outdoors on Temple Square's north -south walkway. |
