Mrs. William Richards and chi.drcn of Panama are visiting with her mother-in-law, Lucy Murdock. Fay and Betty Marshall and Lee and Lynnea Marshall went to Las Vegas Monday to attend a dairy meeting. WUford and AJvaretta Robinson Robin-son are moving back to their home here. They have been living liv-ing in Beaver fcr marry years. We are all glad to have them back and a hearty welcome to them. Frank and Drucella Carter were in Kearns over the weekend week-end visiting their children. They also attended the Fair and Ice FoliTi. Del mar and Ilene Gray were in Salt Lake Thursday and Friday Fri-day to visit their son, Kenneth, who had flew to Salt Lake from Austin, Texas on business for the company he works for. Blain and Emma Sidwell visited visit-ed a couple of days during the weekend with their mother, Ar-mina Ar-mina Banks. Horace Corbridge has returned ti Calif, where he will spend the winter with his daughter, Carma. He had also received word of the death of a grandson, Charles and Virger.e Jameson, Delbert and Elfie Jameson, Floyd and Beulah Wood, Sherwin and Pauline Wcod and Aletha Gil-lins Gil-lins all went to the St. George Temple Friday to attend the wedding of their nephew, Karl Wood, son of Royal and Ina Wood of Henderson, Nev. The County Daughters of Utah Picne.rs held their County Jubilee Ju-bilee and Convention Friday afternoon. A noon luncheon of salads, rolls, vegetable plate, sliced tomatoes, and cake and ice cream was served. A program pro-gram and reports were given after aft-er lunch by each camp. New officers of-ficers for the next 2 years were selected as follows: County Captain, Cap-tain, Daisy Gillins; First Vice, Alvaretta Robinsrn; Second Vice, Lola Roberts; Sec.-Treas., Pauline Paul-ine Wood; Historian, Clyntha Larson; and Chaplain, Theone Mosher. The meeting was then adjourned. A large crowd was in attendance. Mr .and Mrs. Garth Carter of Washington visited over the weekend with his father, Karen Carter, and grandparents, Sheral and Lelia Carter. They have moved to Logan where- Garth will be going to college this year. Horace and Madge Carter attended at-tended the funeral of Carrie Evans in Parowan on Monday. Clarence and Bernice Gillins had their grandchildren, Natalie, Chad, and Shelly Black of Beaver, Beav-er, as weekend visitors. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wiess of Wyoming, former residents of Minersville, called on friends Monday . Ted and Kathleen Gressman, Tooele, were weekend visitors of their mother, Alba Carter. Daisel and Wilma Davis and Sheral Davis motored to Salt Lake on Thursday to take Sheral Sher-al to the Veteran's Hospital for an eye examination. Mr. and Mr,s. Almon Mosher traveled to Springville on Tuesday to attend the funeral of Bertrum Dallin, husband of Delia Pirk, and friends cf the Moshers. Lew and June Griffiths were in Salt Lake a few days during the week on business. Howard and Gwen Pryor went a son of Carina's, in Calif, on Saturday. Don and Kathy (Gillins) St'ddard, Salt Lake, spent the weekend visiting their parents, Wayne and Merle Gillins. Lori Limb, daughter of Richard Rich-ard and Sue Limb, had a birthday birth-day party Monday fcr her little friends. She was 5 years old. Dan and Robyn Goff attended the funeral in Parowan for Rob-yn's Rob-yn's grandmother, Carrie Evans, on Monday. Mitchell Gillins, son of Wayne aril Merle Gillins, has enrolled for schcol at the Dixie College in St. George. Doug and Madalyn Nielson and daughter of Salt Lake spent the weekend visiting the Marshall Marsh-all Hollingshead's. Daisy and Karl Gillins spent the weekend in Salt Lake visiting visit-ing Earl and Charlene Gillins and family. They also attended the Fair and Ice Follies Saturday. Satur-day. Sunday afternoon they visited in Provo with Clayton and Donna Moser and family. John and Bonnie Hcllingshead and son of Panaca, Nev. and Vance Wood of Hurricane were weekend visitors at the Floyd Wood home. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Berg and daughter Charlotte and Mrs. Enid Watkins visited Sunday with Marshall and Nellie Holl-ingshead. Holl-ingshead. They are from Heber City. Cloe Davis has been in the Milford hospital for a week under un-der observation and being treated treat-ed for her ailments. Mr. and Mrs. Alton Marshall and Mr. and Mrs. John Willams were in the northern part of the state during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Clauss Marshall and grandchildren spent Sunday Sun-day visiting with their daughter daugh-ter Connie (and Kenny) Martin-sen Martin-sen and family in Sutherland, Utah, the occasion being Connie's Con-nie's birthday. |
