Show Milford High School It has been brought to my attention at-tention that Milford High School has taken great pride in the preparation cf its football field. The officials who work your games, the fans, and I am sure all of us appreciate the well marked field. You are to be congratulated. We hoped your example will encourage other schools to do the same. Sincerely, J. Marion Tree Executive Secretary Utah High School Activities Association Mrs. Alice Elmer, Milford High School Thank you very much for giving giv-ing us the opportunity to see the Milford High School cheer leaders. They are a wonderful group and added much to our meeting in the Hotel Utah the other day. Obviously, they are not only a good looking bunch of girls, but they really project their enthusiasm enthus-iasm and we want to thank you and the entire group for being with us on that day. Sincerely, E. C. Schafer General Director of Public Relations Union Pacific Railroad The Milford High School cheerleaders were invited by the Union Pacific Railroad, to present their "Railroad Cheer" at the Salt Lake City Rotary Club meeting last Tuesday. Mr. E. C. Schafer, General Director of Public Relations and Advertising, from Omaha, Nebraska, Ne-braska, introduced the cheerleaders cheer-leaders saying that the Union Pacific Railroad was the only railroad in the world that has its own cheerleaders. After performing, per-forming, they were invited to a luncheon in the Hotel Utah by the Union Pacific Railroad. Those participating in the event were: Connie Mayer, Janet Cunningham, Shanna Walker, Debbie Rose, Julie Albrecht, Shauna Banks and Evelyn Yardley. The MHS Cheerleaders first presented the Union Pacific Cheer at the UP Safety meeting held in Milford last year about this time. Mr. Jesse E. Long, Principal Milford High School I wish to take this opportunity to express the feelings of the Southern Utah Officials Association Assoc-iation about the fine manner in which you had your football field marked for your game last week. Each of the officiating crew indicated what a great difference differ-ence it made to work on such a field. Officiating itself is a tough enough, but having a properly marked field is like adding an additional official. I think that with this attitude atti-tude of schools and. officials both trying to improve, we have come a long way in recent years. Let us hope we can continue such improvement and excellence. Again our appreciation to you. Sincerely, Steve Lunt President S.U.O.A. Mr. Jesse E. Long, Principal |
