Show TWENTY-TWO YEARS AGO December 21, 1950 A community Christmas pro- gram in the Milford LDS church Saturday evening will wind up the pre-Christmas festivities fest-ivities for Milford's yount5-sters yount5-sters and set the stage for Santa's San-ta's appearance in the local homes sometime Sunday night. Carlyle Gronning will act Master of Ceremonies. Mrs. Vena Ve-na Wilson will offer prayer, followed by community singing sing-ing led by Rev. Wilton, assisted assist-ed by Mrs. Gertrude Fisher, after which Santa will appear to greet all the children of Mil-ford, Mil-ford, with ample assistance from the Legion Auxiliary and others. TEN YEARS AGO December 27, 1962 Milford's Tigers, fresh from a victory over Enterprise, forged ahead in the fourth quarter to defeat a tall Hurricane team, 59-51 . In addition to representing Ethopia in the ninth annual Model United Nations Assembly, Assem-bly, to be held at the University Univers-ity of Utah April 19 and 20, Milford High has been assigned to one of the important U.N. committees. Jesse E. Long is advisor Co the Milford High delegation. GRADUATES WITH HONORS Airman Rory L. Terry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Davis of Minersville, Utah, has graduated graduat-ed with honors at Kessler AFB, Miss., from the Air Training Command's basic course for electronic specialists. Airman Terry, who received instruction in communications and electronics systems principles, prin-ciples, is remaining at Kessler for advanced training. The airman, a 1968 graduate of Beaver and Cedar High School, attended Southern Utah State College. His wife, Barbara, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. BUI Master of Tigard, Ore. COUGAR HUNT PROGRESSING Several cougar hunters afield so far this year have reported success in bagging their quarry. quar-ry. THIRTY-SIX YEARS AGO December 24, 1936 Among the students home from their various schools to spend the Christmas vacation are Marie Gillies from the University Uni-versity of Utah, Ina Smith and Katherine Kirk from the B.Y. U., Ethel Tanner, Delmar Kirk and Ray Fisher from the U.S. A.C., William Tribole from Westminister College and Hazel Ha-zel Tribole from Oxford, Ohio, where she is attending school. |
