Show Christmas Lights On Tree Goes Down eleven $50.00 cash awards on Dtc. 16 on Main Street, to eleven lucky winners. All you need to do is to sign a coupon and drop it into a box in each participating merchant, each time you make a $5.00 cash purchase pur-chase in their store, or pay $5 on account. Participating mer-chants mer-chants are, Jefferson's, Altaian's Lee's Corner Drug, Sam's Furniture Fur-niture and Appliance, SMR, The Beaver County News, Ron's Chevron Service, Hughes Style Shop, John's Sinclair Service, The Milfr'd State Bank and the Atlantic-Pi chfield Bulk Plant. The Christmas street lights and decoration went on Tuesday Tues-day evening, but whether Milford Mil-ford wil have a tree this year or not remains doubtful as the News went to press. The C;ty Crew labored hard with the help of the UP&L crew and truck to get the lights and tree up for last Saturday night as advertised in the News. But managed only to get the street lights and decorations up and the tree planted at the point on Main Street. Monday they were to trim the tree and turn on the l'ghts, but mother nature had other plans. Along with the storm and blizzard that Milford received Monday aiternoon, which left .43 inches of precipitation, about which, was a foot of snow, we also received a fairly good wind, strong enough to snap the tree and topple it, and break it in two. The question n'w remains, whether the crew, or someon-else, someon-else, will have time to acqu'r.-? a new tree, plant it and trim it before Christmas.
