She attended the wedding of her grandson, Dan Thomas, while in Orem. Also attending were her daught-r and husband, hus-band, Gerald and Virginia Gil-lins Gil-lins of Milford. Mrs. Andrew B-bby was a recent" visitor to Milford to see her husband. She left for their home in Calif, last week. Visitors at the home of Mrs. Naomi Hughes last weekend w re her grandchildren, Miss Connie Hughes of Grace, Idaho and Mr. Jo.nathan Hughes of Pocatello, Idaho. The Far now, .also have a ,abin near ine Gnmshaw cabin. Junior and Jerry Kirk are at home now after accompanying his mother, Net Kirk to Salt Lake where she underwent surgery. Dinner guest of Mack and Barbara Thompson Sunday were his mother, Hilda Thompson Thomp-son of Delta and an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Kelly of Oasis, Utah. Mr. and Mrs Kelly also Visited friends, Hamp and Beniti Burke. Joseph A. Sly of Hemet. Calif, has been in Milford visiting vis-iting his brother and wife, Thurland and Alma Sly. While here, Joseph and Thurland accompanied ac-companied LeRoy Myers and Bert Merryweather on a trip Into the High Ulntahs. The fellows fel-lows went with Berts cousin. Dr. Tom Bulloch and a group from Provo. They took their horses and "packed-in" some 15-20 miles, spending about 7 days, fishing and enjoying the unspoiled wilderness. Visiting at the home of Dan and De Ferguson this weekend were Gary and Coreen Davis and family and Brenda Lee Seifers and son Travis and a friend, Sue Foreman of Ely. Bre.nda's father, Bob Davis, is working on the railroad out of Milford and staying with his folks, Dan and Dee. Brenda Lee also visited another grandmother, grandmo-ther, Mabel Turner. Visiting Mae Colborn last week were her grandson and family, Jerry and Sherry Van Campen and children Stacey and Scottie of Denver, Colo. This week Baxter and Marion Lee of Ajo, Ariz, spent a couple of days with Mae, then her daughter and husband, Thurlon and Helen Van Campen of Columbia, Co-lumbia, Utah stopped enroute to Denver to visit their son, Jerry and family. The Martins, Alan, Lisa and son Donovon stopped for a visit with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. D. A. Symond. They are on their way to Provo, where Alan will attend BYU this year. Nora Wright, Helen Cook, Neva Kinross and Bertha Cot-trell Cot-trell left early Sunday morning morn-ing for a few days sight-seeing in Page, Ariz, and touring the four-corners area. Bill and Betty Jean Cook of Delta were down this weekend to visit his mother, Helen Cook and other friends and relatives in town. Home for the Labor Day weekend, at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Luis Jimenez, Jim-enez, Sr. and brother John and Betty Jimenez were; Mr. and Mrs. Tony Jimenez and two children of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Luis Jimenez, Jr. and five 'Children of Las Vegas, and Mr and Mrs. A. L. Jorgenson and their son Rick and Linda Jorg-enso.n Jorg-enso.n and baby of Salt Lake. The latter part of the week John and Betty Jimenez and 4 of their children drove to Brig-ham Brig-ham City to attend the wedding of Holly Stewart, Betty's brother's bro-ther's (Lewis Stewart) daughter; daugh-ter; after which they visited in Salt Lake with John's sister Richard and Mary Blonquist and family, returning to Milford Mil-ford Saturday. Irene Stewart and son James attended the wedding of h;r granddaughter, Holly Stewart of Salt Lake. The wedding and reception was held in Brigram City. While in Salt Lake they visited Irene's new grandchild, the baby of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stewart. Mr. and Mrs. James Asay and children spent several days last week at the home of his brother bro-ther Glen, and visiting his father, fa-ther, Orville Asay, who is In the hospital here. James has just returned from V-k years in Germany with the Army a.nd is on his way to his new base in Fort Ord. Calif. Ensign and Mrs. Leland Snel-son Snel-son visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Wellington for a few days. Leland has just graduated from Officer's Candidate School in Rhode Island as an Ensign, and they are on their way to Pensacola, Fla., where he will enter the U.S. Navel Air Academy. Aca-demy. Sharle.ne has received a transfer from the telephone company and will work with the phone company in Florida. Ramona's sister, Mrs. Norma Blaine, also visited. After the Snelsons left the two sisters' also left on a vacation, first to Las Vegas, the.n they drove to Tustin, Calif, to visit a new grand neice, Tera Jai, daughter of John and Karen Pennington. While in Tustin they were joined join-ed by a brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Thomas Heff and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Digger Dig-ger and daughter Tammy. From Tustin they drove on to the Sequoia Natl Forest and it's scenic beauty, then to Fresno o visit a .nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Heff and new son, Shawn; then to Lake Tahoe, where they had a ball! They stopped in Reno and Ely on their return to Milford. Robert Albrecht of Cedar City visited his parents, Sheldon Shel-don and Mary Albrecht and sisters sis-ters Julie and Carol on Saturday. Satur-day. Mrs. Kathryn Crosby of St. George spent the weekend with her mother, Theresa Pitchforth. Professor and Mrs. Crosby have just recently returned from summer schooling in upper New York state. Mrs. Laura Goodman and baby of Fallon, Nev. were here to visit with her brother, Steven Stev-en Lund before he left for his mission. She stayed with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Lund. Friday morning the fam- ily drove Steven to Salt Lake where he entered the mission home. A family dinner was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Reese Sunday in honor of all |
