She received a bachelor's degree from USU and a Master's Mast-er's degree from The American University, Washington, D. C. Since 1967 she has been employed em-ployed at Southern Utah State College, first as Dea.n of Women and this past year she has been ' Acting Dean of Students. Dr. Thompson, a native of Sacramento, California, first joined the faculty at SUSC in 1960. He is currently a professor profes-sor of History and Anthropology Anthropo-logy at the College. He has a bachelor's degree from San Jose State College, and advanced degrees from the University of Wisconsin. The couple will make their home in Cedar City, Utah . : The home of Mrs. B. E. The ncw Mrs. Thompson is the former Miss Georgia Beth Smith. i Earlier in the evening, the j couple exchanged wedding vows in the Milford LDS Church Relief Re-lief Society Room. Bishop Blaine H. Johnson of the Cedar City Eighth Ward, a close friend of the bridegroom, officiated. of-ficiated. The bride wore a long gown ; of white cotton lace. The slight ! empire waist was enhanced with a satin ribbon. . Her veil was accented by a white cotton floral head piece. She carried a bouquet of white roses and orchid carnations. She was at tended by her sister, Mrs. Michael Hickman. Mrs. Hickman Hick-man wore a summer print street-length dress. Her wrist I bouquet was white roses and j orchid carnations. Mrs. Lean ! Smith, sister-i.n-law of the ' bride, sat at the guest book. ; Dr. Wesley P. Larsen was : best man. I Miss Smith is a daughter of George E. Smith and the late Mrs. Smith. Dr. Thompson is :! a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. i Orville Raymond Thompson. The new Mrs. Thompson graduated from Milford High School in 1958 as valedictorian. ! She attended Utah State U.ni- j versity where she was named to Phi Kappa Phi scholastic honorary during her senior |
