Show OCT. 4 IS M H S HOMECOMING By the Journalism Class f Milford Hign School Mrs. Mary McCulley, Instructor Homecoming Day for Milford High School will be on Oct.4. A full slate is planned for the day, starting with the crowning crown-ing of the Homecoming Queen and attendants at a mornnig assembly. The Mighty Tigers will meet the Kanab Cowboys that evening, eve-ning, with the band and Tiger-ettes Tiger-ettes presenting the halftime entertainment. This will be to an "Irish Routine" and is a precision drill using company-front company-front formation. There will be 64 students performing, with Ilene Crane as drum major. The Tigerettes will also offer an additional number. Following the game the Yearbook Staff will sponsor a Homecoming Dance, which will be semi-formal. Former students and friends Continued On Page Two attended, those who did had a lot of fun. "RAM CHOPS" FOR BRUNCH ? ? This Friday on the menu for the Tigers is "Ram Chops!" Milford's Tigers travel to Parowan this week. The Tigers Tig-ers are looking forward to this game Friday night to redeem Themselves for last week's loss to Dixie. The Tigers have practiced every day and have improved on their weaknesses. And the spirit of the boys is outstanding. outstand-ing. Every night after practice prac-tice you can hear the boys telling each other the improvement im-provement they have made over the last game and practice. prac-tice. With this kind of enthusiasm enthu-siasm within the team, who can beat us? LET'S GO TIGERS; BEAT THOSE RAMS! STUDENTS "SHOT" Wednesday and Thursday the yearbook pictures were taken by Mr. Adams of the Adams Studio of Richfield. Seniors and Juniors posed for their pictures Wednesday. Some of the Class Favorite and foot-, ball team pictures were taken. Thursday the Sophomore, Freshman and Underclassmen were photographed. Seniors were charged $1.25 for the pictures, other students S1.00. DRILL TEAM, "STEPS OFF" The Ninth Grade Drill Team put on a marvelous halftlme performance at the Milford-Dixie Milford-Dixie ballgame last Friday. Preparing all week, the drill team, under direction of Miss Carlson, was ready to go. However, when the time came they were unable to use their record player and a quick decision was made to sk the band to play. Even though they had not heara me music they really did a good job, and should be congratulated on their performanoe, the final payment to be made at a later date. The Yearbook Staff urges the student body to -'dig up" $2 to get a claim qn the '63-'64 yearbook soon, so that it can be ordered in the near future. UNIFORMS ISSUED TO BAND The Milford High Band received re-ceived their uniforms Monday and Tuesday. These uniforms will be used for the MHS Homecoming game Oct. 4th and the BYU Invitational Band Day Oct. 5th. Band Mothers issued the uniforms and alterations were made. LOTS OF PEP! The Pep Assembly held Friday Fri-day preceding the Dixie ball-game ball-game was a very successful event. This assembly was longer than usual, with more yells and variety added. The cheerleaders led the student body in many peppy yells, and a contest was held between the team and the student body to see who could yell the loudest. The great enthusiasm of the team was a noticeable factor. SENIOR PARTY "Filled up to the brim," were the words the Seniors used as they left their class party Saturday night. After "surfin' it up" a little, lit-tle, the Seniors feasted on hamburgers, cooked by their advisor, Mr. Swain, and the potato po-tato salad, olives, potato chips, brownies and Pepsi supplied by class members. SUCCESSFUL BAKE SALE The Senior Class started their fund-raising project for the year Saturday with a Bake Sale. The amount of pastry the Senior students furnished provided for a very successful bake sale. The Seniors will continue to increase class funds with another an-other bake sale and a car wash in the near future. LIKE TO EAT AT GAMES ? ? The FHA Club sold concessions conces-sions at the Milford-Dixie game Friday night. The girls sold more hot dogs and hot chpco-late chpco-late than they have ever sold before. We urge the" public, as well as the students, to keep supporting the games and the FHA Club at their concession stand. Do you like to eat at games? If you do, bring your money and support the FHA.
