Show August 30 the Minersville Bee Hive Girls held their Honor Hon-or Night program. Twenty girls participated in this affair. The children of Mr. and Mrs. Hayward Carter gathered together over the Labor Day week end to pay tribute to thier mother on her 80th birthday. A hot meal was served on the family lawn. Attending At-tending were Mrs. Leona Roberts Rob-erts of McMinnville, Ore.; Adie and Thel Smith and family, Whittier, Calif.; Lois and Joe Pearson and children, Las Vegas; Bertha and Chet Cu-sick Cu-sick and family, Arcadia, Cal.; Mr. and Mrs. John Waggoner and daughters, of Hacienda Heights, Calif.; Rex and Carol Carter and family, Beaver; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Carter, Nettie and Vic Myers, Sheral and Lela Carter and family, Max and Anna Rae Carter and children. chil-dren. The men painted the house for their father. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Banks and sons of Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Crane and family fam-ily of McGill, Nev., visited Mrs. Armina Banks over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Gray and daughters of Orem were week end visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Gray. Also visiting vis-iting at the Gray home were Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Lamb of St. George and Mr. and Mrs. Burnell Lamb of Henderson, Nev. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Muir and Children of Colorado have been vacationing here with Mr. and Mrs. Doug Blackburn, e Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Evans and children of Henderson, Nev., have been here visitnig their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ar-shel Ar-shel Evans. Mrs. Al Morin and A. J. are also visiting at the Evans home. A wedding' reception honor- " ing Mr. and Mrs. Max Limb (Elaine Evans) was held in the church recreation hall Sept. 4. They were married the same day in the Manti Temple. 6 "Ready Go Round-Up" was the theme of the opening social so-cial for the MIA. This bang-up bang-up event opened the '63-'64 MIA year. Over 100 boys and girls enjoyed htis gala affair. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Eric Clark and children of Grantsville visited Mr. and Mrs. Billy Dalton over the week end. This Week in MINERSVILLE as reported by GWEN PRYOR O Week end guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Max Carter were Mr. and Mrs. John Waggoner and daughters of Hacienda Heights, Calif. O Gary Puffer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Puffer of North Creek, spent several days last week visiting his cousins at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Marshall. A The descendants of James W. Wood held their annual reunion re-union here on Aug. 31. Forty-one Forty-one relatives enjoyed an interesting inter-esting program and delicious dinner at the church. That evening they took the remainder remain-der of the refreshments up the creek and enjoyed another outing. out-ing. Out of town visitors for the event were Mr. and Mrs. Royal Wood and children of Henderson, Nev.; Vic Jameson, Travis Air Force Base, Calif.; Harold Jameson and Scott and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jameson and children of Las Vegas; Mr. and Mrs. Rex Limb and family fam-ily and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Wood and family of Beaver., Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Jameson Jame-son observed their Golden Wedding anniversary on Sunday, Sun-day, Sept. 1, at the church. All their children were present for the occasion. 9 Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Sykes and children of Magna spent the holiday week end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Golden Marshall. Mrs, Sykes is the former Maxine Marshall. At fast and testimony meeting meet-ing Sunday the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marlin (Maurine Myers) Hunt was named and blessed. He was given the name of Marlin Kyle by his uncle, Ven-don Ven-don Myers. Dennis Carter was confirmed a member of the LDS Church by his father, Bud Carter, |
