Show County Agent Says Go SIoav On Changing Feed for Dairy Cattle With large quantities of milo coming into Beaver County under un-der the emergency feed program, many dairymen will be making a change in their feed mixtures. Grant Esplin, Beaver County Agent, advises dairymen to make these changes gradually and not all at once. John Barnard, Extension Ex-tension Dairyman of the U S U, says an abrupt change may cause th ecattle to go off feed. Milo is a good feed, having slightly more digestible nutrients than barley, and cattle will do well on it provided the change is not made all at once. |
