Show County High Schools Try Vocational Goals Experiment Ninth grade students at Milford Mil-ford and Beaver High Schools will participate in an experiment designed to discover what effect, if any, having an occupational goal has on their attitude toward and achievement in high school. Local project directors will be Bryce Draper, district curriculum director; Allen Reynolds, Reyn-olds, Beaver High School Counselor, Coun-selor, and J. M. Hughes, Milford High School Counselor. Aspects of ' 16 general occupational areas will be covered by using some audio visual aids, films, sound tapes, etc., which have been especially developed for this project. Thru an accompanying guidance kit, students will be encouraged to I choose, confirm, or revise their occupational choice. j Extensive testing will be done before and after the experiment in a certain number of control schools as well as in the experimental experi-mental schools in an effort to determine accurately what the results are. Schools participating in the experiment are Beaver High, Milford High, Delta High, Grants-ville Grants-ville High, Carbon Jr. High, Ashley Ash-ley Valley Jr. High, and Horace Mann Jr. High. |
