Show 'MS HI-LIGHTS By the Milford High School Journalism Class TRAVELING ASSEMBLY The MHS student body enjoyed the traveling assembly Wednesday, Wednes-day, Dec. 7. It was originated and directed by Mrs. Lewis, who set the theme in the times of Al Capone. It was very entertaining enter-taining to all. PEPWORK AND FOOTBALL PARTY Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 7 p. m. ' the Pepwork class and football team had a party in the high school gym. There was dancing and games. Afterwards refreshments refresh-ments were served. This proved to b3 a very successful event. GAMES AT NOON HOUR The Milford High School students stu-dents now enjoy games as a noon time activity. These games consist con-sist of ping pong, ring toss, and checkers. The money for the materials was donated by the student body and the boys in the shop class made the ping pong tables. These games are available to students every noon hour. RECORD HOP The MIA sponsored a record hop on Friday, Dec. 3 in the LDS Church. A large part of the student stu-dent body attended the dances I and had a very nice time. The proceeds will go toward buying new records for future dances. JUNIOR PROM The Junior Prom has been set for April 14, according to Mary Ann Banks, prom chairman. Those on her committee are Lola Lamb, Lorna Hollingshead, Veda Cox, Judy Wilcock, Connie Marshall, Mar-shall, Elaine Gillins, Linda Myers, My-ers, Linda Johnson, Kay Root, Doug Cook, Danny James, Brad Weston, Tommy Walker, Roger Memmott, Janice Terry and Gary Marshall. The advisors of the Junior Class are Mrs. Rimpau and J. M. Hughes. ' The Junior Prom committee meets every Thursday. Remember!. Everyone, April 14, so you can come out to the Jun- ior Prom and support it. i BASKETBALL The Milford Tigers traveled to ' Lincoln County High at Panaca, Nev., last Friday to play their first basketball game of the season. sea-son. The Tigers lost the game by a score of 53 to 44. The Tigers Tig-ers have a good ball club this year and are looking forward to a very successful season. The roster includes Carl Bris-1 coe, Mitchell Baxter, Clark Dal-ton, Dal-ton, Rick Berger, Mel Wads- i worth, Gary Marshall, Max Nich- ols, Brad Weston, Danny James, Doug Hardy, Hal Edwards and I Roland Bacon. Saturday the Tigers were defeated de-feated by the Dixie Flyers at St. George. The Flyers came out on top with five more points than the Tigers. Mitch Baxter was high point man with 11 points. The Tigers travel to South Sevier Se-vier to play next Friday, and then Saturday night they, play Marysvale in their first game on our own floor. Let's all support the Tigers this year. NEW STUDENTS AT MHS Mike and Sharon Rich are new students at M H S. They are from Hailey, Idaho, but both were born in Salt Lake. Mike was born March 12, 1944. He is 6 ft 3 in tall, speaks Spanish Span-ish fluently, and his favorite hobby is studying. He is also interested in-terested in skiing, swimming and ice skating. Sharon was born Nov. 2, 1945. She is 5 ft 7y2 in tall and speaks French. She is also studying Spanish. Her interests are the same as Mike's. Mr. Hughes is their great-uncle. great-uncle. DRIVER TRAINING COURSE The "behind the wheel" driver training course will be starting i soon at M H S., as soon as the j car arrives. There are 24 stu- ; dents enrolled in this course and Mr. Jensen is the teacher. Previous to this class the students stu-dents have had a basic driver education ed-ucation theory course. |
