Show !MHS III-LIGHTS By the Milford High School Journalism Class CHORUS PRESENTS ASSEMBLY WEDNESDAY Wednesday morning the combined com-bined choruses of the Senior High and the Eighth Grade presented pre-sented an assembly under the direction di-rection of Dale Johnson. The 37 senior members sang 10 numbers and the Eighth Grade's 58 members mem-bers sang three numbers. Solos were sung by Linda Myers and Mrs. Dale Johnson. The next project of the chorus will be to prepare for the Small Groups Festival to be held in the spring at St. George. The Milford Tigers, with five returning basketball lettermen, have great hopes for the coming season. They have nine pre-sea-son games. The ball club travels to Lincoln County to play the Lincoln club Friday night. After the game with Lincoln they will travel to St. George and spend the night there; the following night they go against the Dixie Flyers in hopes of a win over the Flyers. SENIOR DANCE The Seniors held their annual dance Friday, Nov. 25th. The Jokers Combo furnished the music. mu-sic. Four bags of candy were given away by drawing numbers which were distributed with the purchase of a ticket. Two cakes were raffled off. Many of the alumni students who were visiting over the holidays holi-days attended the dance. This event proved to be very successful. SPIRIT AT OLD M H S Posters displaying new ideas in promoting school spirit are being designed by committees from the pepwork class. Also different colors are being worn as a symbol sym-bol of the teams to be played at the end of the week. These and other ideas are designed de-signed to help the cheerleaders promote interest in the coming basketball games and to boost the team's enthusiasm. Let's make "their" effort worthwhile by supporting our team to the fullest degree, so they can reach their goal.
