Mr. and Mrs. DeWayne Carter of : Las Vegas were here for the week- '. end and were in great demand among their many relatives and friends. They were dinner guests Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Eyre, in the after- ' noon they visited with members of "their crowd," and in the evening, eve-ning, a sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Marshall, were hosts at a party to which members of the family were invited. invit-ed. ; Allan Carter, son of the Sheral : Carters, will return to his barber j school in Salt Lake City January 3. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Corbridgc spent Christmas at the home of j Mr. and Mrs. Junior Corbridge in ! Cedar City. j Mr. and Mrs. Reed Hollingshead j and two children of Summit City, j Calif., have been visiting Mr. and 1 Mrs. Milton Albrecht, Bishop and Mrs. Marshall Hollingshead, and Grandfather Stephen Hollingshead. While here, their daughter, Karla Kay, was confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dan Davis, an officer in the Gen- ealogical Society, conducted the Sunday evening Sacrament meeting meet-ing and introduced the 23 young j people who took part, using only I 23 minutes in presenting an enter- taining and inspiring program of ' Scripture passages, music, and ' talks. I Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Robinson were in Provo for Christmas at the home of their son, George Robinson, Robin-son, and family, then traveling on to Salt Lake City for a visit with their other children.. Back home, they were hosts Saturday at dinner i to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Cor-bridge, Cor-bridge, Mr, and Mrs. George Wood, Mrs. Bessie Pearson, her two daughters and son Gene, and Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Banks. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Caldwell of Salt Lake City were dinner guests for Christmas at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Banks. Mrs. Caldwell Cald-well is the former Shannon Banks. Visitors at the Banks home Friday were Mr. and Mrs. Denzil Craw and daughter of Port Hueneme, Calif., who enjoyed dinner with ! them. Mrs. Jennie Marquardson spent Christmas at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Mott in Greenville. EMILY GILLINS 1t 5 O W -f- 1 ' A telephone call from Val Marshall Mar-shall to parents Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Dar-win Marshall brightened their day on Christmas, along with dinner guests Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rollins Rol-lins and Bonnie and father George Marshall. In the evening, the Marshall, Mar-shall, the Ty Gillinses and the Truman Bradficlds called on their friends, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Eyre, tor an evening of visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Dalton visited vis-ited Sunday in Cedar City with friends Mr. and Mrs. Bob Goodwin. Incidentally, the Goodwins are elated with the success of surgery performed on their infant son in Salt Lake City Tuesday of last week. They left the following Monday to return their baby to his home. The little fellow has been given the name of John Edwin and will be called Eddie. After bringing to his home in Beaver his brother, Jess Baker, who has been a patient in a Salt Lake hospital following his recent accident, Alvin Baker came on to Minersville to spend the night with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baker. While here, he attended the school Christmas program. At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Gillins for Christmas dinner din-ner were Mr. and Mrs. Kent Benson Ben-son and family of Parowan and Mrs. Edna Crosby of Beaver. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Davis and three children were among the visitors in Minersville during the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. James Dove of Tungsten, Nevada have been visiting vis-iting with a daughter of Mrs. Dove, Mrs. Helen Davis, and in Beaver with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cart-wright. Cart-wright. Mrs. Cartwright, mother to Mrs. Dove, has been seriously ill but is recuperating at her home. Mr. and Mrs. Neal Gressman and Mrs. Alba Carter and son Norman Nor-man were week-end visitors in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Gressman Gress-man were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Burdell Corbridge. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Gillins were hosts at Christmas dinner to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Carter and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gillins. Mrs. Effie Marshall invited members mem-bers of h e r family to Christmas dinner, those being able to come numbering some 30 persons. The Marshall family enjoyed their annual an-nual Christmas eve party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Marshall. A program was arranged, arrang-ed, with a number from each family. fam-ily. Gifts were exchanged and delicious de-licious refreshments served. Mrs. Efi'ie Marshall and her daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Truman, visited in Cedar City Saturday with Ruth and Rachel and their families. Gail Truman and Jeame Dotson remained in Cedar City, guests at the home o Mr. and Mrs. Neal Carter. Jan Truman and Elaine Marshall remained at the home of Mrs. Rachel Hunt. Grandson Grand-son Robert Gressman of Cedar City is slaying at the Marshall home during the holidays. Ravmond Baker visited m fat. George Saturday with his cousins, Bruce and Garth Pickett. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Marshall and familv spent Christmas in Beaver with Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Puffer. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Seegmiller and daughter Partrice spent Christmas Christ-mas at the Baker home. Gerald returned to his work in Salt Lake City but Marlene and daughter are rcmainins for a week's visit. Mr and Mrs. DeLoy Baker became' be-came' parents of their first-born Christmas morning in Salt Lake City.
