High School . - - " Notes By Julie Ann Farrer JUNIOR VARSITY CHEER LEADERS TO BE NAMED After a screening test last week six candidates were chosen to compete com-pete for Junior Varsity Cheorlead-ers. Cheorlead-ers. The six girls ara Trudy Rollins, Bobby Smith, Judy Hamilton, Col- leen Firmage, Kathleen Myers, and Joan Eyre. These girls will be featured on an assembly Tuesday and the members of the student body will vote for three. DRAMATIC CLUB DOINGS The B. H. S. Dramatic Club presented pre-sented two one-act plays last Friday Fri-day night. Both plays had a Christmas theme and carried a real message to the audience. This week the Dramatic Club is having their annual Christmas Party on Wednesday, Dec. 17. Good food and a lot of fun is1 planned for all members of the j Dramatic and Thespian Clubs of B. H. S. I SENIOR BALL UNDER WAY The annual Christmas Dance at B. H. S., the Senior Ball, has been scheduled for (Friday, Dee. 19, in the Beaver High gym. The Seniors are rapidly making final preparations for the assembly assem-bly and dance. The assembly will be presented to the student body Friday morning to advertise the big dance Friday night. A big crowd is anticipated for the last school social affair of '58. Everyone is invited to join the fun of this year's Senior Ball. BASKETBALL HOLDS PRE.SEASON PLAY j A hardVfighting Beaver team played two practice games last week. On Thursday, Beaver took on Juab High and was defeated in an exciting game, then on Saturday Satur-day the (Beavers played the boys of Monroe. This game was extremely ex-tremely close all the way but Monroe emerged victorious, 30-28. This week B H S will travel to Hurricane, Dixie, and Richfield to gain more experience for the league play later on. |
