Smith plan to spend Christmas with their son in law and dauhter, Mr. and Mrs. Noel Benson, in Blackfoot, Idaho. James Cox, student at the C S U was in Milford Tuesday evening to attend the MIA Christmas dance. Mrs. Rosalie Klein and daughter Wauince of Berkeley, Calif., will arrive Sunday to spend the holidays holi-days with Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Smith. Owen Jr., of Castro Valley, Val-ley, Calif.; Albert of Idaho Falls, and John of Cedar City, and their families, will arrive Dec. 27th for a birthday dinner honoring their father. Randy Morris, assigned to the Guided Missile Base at Chino Lake, Calif., will be in Milford at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Morris, until Dec. 31. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Grimshaw have received word that their son Clark has been transferred from Provo to Kearns as manager of a shoe store. THE AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY held their annual Christmas party Monday, Dec. 15, in St. Bridget's meeting room. A delicious dinner was prepared and served by the officers. A short business meeting was conducted by Lillian Andesron, president, after which the ladies enjoyed playing cards, singing Christmas carols and exchanging gifts. Prize winners for the evening were Letha Smyth, Metta Weston, Magdalena White and Judy Briscoe. Bris-coe. Other members present were Dorothy Grimshaw, Pat Stewart, Ida Smith, Jerrie Kirk, Nina Bingham, Bing-ham, Edna Baker, Ethel Smith and Laura Lorentz. THE ELLA STANCLIFF Past Noble Grand Clut enjoyed their annual Christmas party and pot luck dinner on Wednesday of last week, at the hone of Mrs. Dora Pool. U P OLD TIMERS Club 33 and the Auxiliary hied a Joint party Dec. 13 in St. Bridget's recreation hall. A ham dinner with all the trimings was served. Officers for the coming year installed in-stalled by the ladies were: Mrs. J. P. Holm, past president; Mrs. H. C. Garfield, president; Mrs. H. G. Barnes, vice president; Mrs. Kenneth Hollis, secretary; Mrs. Powell Smyth, treasurer; Mrs. W. S. Bolton, historian, and governing govern-ing board members, Mrs. V. Wise, Mrs. D. L. ; Carter, Mrs. S. E. Pitchforth,-Mrs. O. R. Smith, Mrs. Grant Mellor, and Mrs. Warren Atkin. Bingo was played, with many prizes going to the winners. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Stephenson and Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Colburn of Cedar City came over for the party. THE L D S PRIMARY Stake Board combined a Christmas party par-ty with their regular meeting last Thursday evening, at the home of Mrs. Rowena Hardy. Harlan and Norma Anderson and Dean and Elaine Stoker will motor to Milford from Berkeley, Calif., arriving Sunday to spend the Christmas holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Owen Stoker. THE THURSDAY NIGHT Club met at the home of Mrs. J. R. j Murdock this week. Prize winners win-ners were Mrs. Gene Kirk, Mrs. John Weston and Mrs. Powell Smyth. Other members present included Mrs. V. L. Boucher, Mrs. Ray Ma-gill, Ma-gill, Mrs. Sam Cline and Mrs. E. L. Cline. The Christmas motif was carried out in refreshments and decorations. Mrs. Frank White has returned to Milford after spending two weeks with her father, Joseph Perkins, who has been seriously ill, but is now improving slowly. Mrs. Zella M. Tucker of Goff, Kansas, is at the home of her son, Harry Meeker. Mrs. A. A. Mclntyre will leave Dec. 22 for San Francisco, where she will spend Christmas with Mi-, and Mrs. Ray Mclntyre and two children. A SON, Mart Douglas, was born Nov. 29 to Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Bradfield, in a Salt Lake hospital. The young man weighed 7 lbs 8 oz. (Milford grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Fay Bradfield and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baxter. Tommy has accepted employment with a road construction company at Page, Ariz., and will be joined by Mrs. Bradfield when the baby is able to travel. Mrs. Julia Madsen of Nevada is here at the home of her brother, Arnold Swindlehurst, to care for her mother, Mrs. Sarah Swindlehurst, Swindle-hurst, who has been released from the Beaver County Hospital. Mrs. Arnold Swindlehurst of Boulder City, Nev., has been here since the elder Mrs. Swindlehurst suffered a broken hip in an accident Barbara Thompson, who is employed em-ployed at the State Capitol, is expected ex-pected home for the Christmas holidays. Mrs. Ella Treat has returned home after a week's visit with an old friend, Mrs. Ada Warren, in Victorville, Calif. Mrs. Ella Parkinson expects her two daughters and their families home for the Christmas holidays, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Terry of Paul, Idaho, and Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Emal and two children of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove. Vaughn and Betty McDonald of Salt Lake are coming to Milford for the Christmas holidays. They will foe at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. McDonald and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Ferguson. Larry Edwards is serving with the U S Air Force Reserve, sta-tionad sta-tionad at San Antonia, Texas. Mrs. Edwards is saying with her parents par-ents in Ogden. Mrs. Ada Dalton and daughter Lyla and Mrs. Ida Rensh, all of Barstow, Calif., plan to be in Milford Mil-ford for the holidays at the home of Mrs. Dalton's son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Dick IFisher. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Murdock of Santa Rosa, Calif., will spend the Christmas holidays in Beaver County at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Murdock and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Banks will leave Sunday to spend the holidays holi-days with their son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Hawkins and two children in Pa-coima, Pa-coima, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Kenny Friar and two children recently returned from their vacation, which they spent in Las Vegas with Mr. and |
