' Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jones 4 Dick and Cora Jones To Observe Golden Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jones of 50 North 100 West, Milford, will observe their golden wedding wed-ding anniversary with an open house Saturday, Feb. 22. Friends and relatives are invited to greet the couple on that date between 2 and 8 p. m. Both are natives of Beaver County. Mrs. Jones was born at Greenville, June 7, 1889, to Daniel Oliver and Sarah Jane Edwards Martin. Mr. Jones, born at Adamsville on April 23, 1889, is a son of John G. and Mary Ann Griffiths Jones. St. George Temple during parts of 1950 and 1951. Mr. Jones, now first assistant to the superintendent of the Sunday School, was bishop of the Milford First Ward for three years, has been active in the Elders Quorum, and other church auxiliaries. Mrs. Jones has served in the presidency of the Relief Society and as class leader of the Theology The-ology class for six years. She was Stake Theology class leader for three years. Mr. Jones retired on April 23, 1955 from the Union Pacific where he had been employed since 1923 in the mechanical department. de-partment. They are the parents of seven children: Mrs. Verda Pender, Salt Lake; Mrs. Vina Nielson, Panaca, Nev.; Mrs. Nellie Gar-zand, Gar-zand, Ely, Nev.; Richard Leon Jones and Mrs. Margaret Grim-: Grim-: shaw, Milford; Mrs. Alice H. i Harriman, Santa Rosa, Calif., and James Jones, Ottumwa, , Iowa. They also have 26 grand-i grand-i children, 15 greatgrandchildren I and two tester grandchildren. They were married at weaver weav-er in February, 1908. The marriage mar-riage was later solemnized in the St. George L D S Temple. Both Mr. and Mrs. Jones have been very active in church work, having served for four years as stake missionaries, 1 filled a mission to Southern California, and worked in th |
