Mr. and Mrs. Muir 'are now living . in Denver. 1 3 The annual school Christmas urogram was held in the Min-tfisviile Min-tfisviile school on Thursday, .mint The big Christmas tree .welcomed everyone as the ! townspeople met in the recrea- lion hall to watch their chil- dren. j The theme of the evening ! was Christmas in Many Lands, i Each group represented a different dif-ferent country and presented the beliefs of Christmas in that land. The costumes were clever and the children all performed in a very commendable manner. man-ner. Mr. and Mrs. William Wood and Marilyn were in Morgan last week for the funeral of Paul E. Zaugg. Mr. Zaugg was the stepfather of Mrs. Wood, and will be remembered by Minersville residents. Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Dotson and family were dinner guests on Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Davis of Mil-ford. Mil-ford. Mr. and Mrs. Newell Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wood and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Davis joined the group later in the evening for cake and ice cream. The occasion for the family gathering was to honor Mr. Dotson on his birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wood received re-ceived word this, week that their son in law, Clarence Pa-checo, Pa-checo, was promoted to Tech Sergeant. He and his wife Jolene are living at Loring Air Force Base in Maine. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Jay Smith , are home from Logan where I Mr. Smith is attending the U S U, to spend the holidays in Minersville. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wood were in Manderfield Saturday to help their son Grant celebrate his birth anaiversary. The Relief Society held ' their Christmas party on Tuesday, serving a lovely baked ham banquet to all their members. A program, presented during the banquet, featured Vivian Marshall, Sylvia Davis, Barbara Carter, Phyllis Truman, nul ; carol singing led by Mrs. T.yn-nea T.yn-nea Marshall. Ethel Mathews, ! Albateen Roberts, Larue Thomp j son and Mrs. Gillespie presented a skit. r. I After Christmas gifts were exchanged, ex-changed, bingo was played. Mrs. Melba Baker went to Salt Lake Monday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Seegmiller, who recently became parents of a baby girl. Mrs. Seegmiller will be remembered as the former for-mer Marlene Baker. The Canasta Club invited their husbands to their Christmas Christ-mas party held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Noel Wood. Enjoying En-joying the evening were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Murdock, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Wood, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Gray. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Kent Carter and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Gillins. Prizes for the evening went to Kent Carter, Bonnie Gray, Lee Gillins and Florence Wood. 9 Robert Gressman, now of Cedar Ce-dar City, is spending the Christmas Christ-mas vacation with his grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Effie Marshall, and ail his other relatives and friends in Minersville. Mrs. Jane Campbell of Salt Lake arrived Sunday to spend Christmas with her daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Myers and family. Ray Gillins arrived home Sunday to spend the Christmas holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jule Gillins. Mrs. Ray Gillins and their baby have been living in Parowan while Ray is away in the service. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Leland Craw arrived this week end to spend Christmas at home. They have i been living in Logan, where Mr. Craw is attending school. Miss Eve McKnight will be home 'from college to spend the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stan McKnight. David Williams surprised his mother Saturday morning when he arrived home from Fort Ord, Calif., where he has. been stationed sta-tioned since September. He will stay until after the New Year. Mr. and Mrs. Max Carter attended at-tended the banquet for the Genealogical Gen-ealogical Society held in Mil-ford. Mil-ford. All the Milford Genealogical Genealog-ical Soceity and the Stake officials, offi-cials, Mr. Carter and Carl Goodwin, and their wives were in attendance. Frank Williams Jr. was in Salt Lake over the week end. Mrs. Rachel Eyre came home from Ogden Sunday. She reports re-ports that Dorothy is feeling I much better after an emergency operation performed last week. Mr. and Mrs. James Eyre became be-came the parents of a baby girl on Thursday, in the Milford Hospital. She will be named Jeri Renee, e Merrill Jameson came home from the Milford Hospital on Monday. s Roland Baker returned home last week, after completing his military service. a Mrs. Pauline Carter received word of the death of her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Sarah E. Gillins of North Hollywood. Mrs. Carter Car-ter and her daughter Zola attended at-tended the funeral services held Tuesday in California. |
