He likewise comes to Weber highly recommended. Attorney Jos. E. Evans will take over the commercial and debating work of Prof. Kasius as well as continuing his French classes. Miss Adella Warner, librarian, is considering accepting a position in either the U. A. C. or B. Y. TJ. It is quite probable that she will leave Weber but her successor has not been appointed. Principal Beal and the school board are very optimistic concerning the faculty for next year. The supporters of Mr. Jeppson maintained that he would defend the rights of the student body with force if necessary, and accused Petty of being a sissy and pro-faculty. The advocates of Petty insisted that the office was due him, because he was a speaker, leader and booster. The brazen and crude methods of the campaign manager of Jeppson, in advertising his candidate brought almost a solid vote for Petty, from the girls. A unique display of beer bottles hanging from the ceiling of the assembly hall and various inscriptions in green paint on the sidewalks intimating that Petty was a baby, and a lady's man, did much to injure their cause. It is the opinion of many that Mr. Jeppson was a victim of circumstances and did not sane, tion these methods. It is the consensus of opinion as recorded by the votes that the offices are filled with efficient students and a continued growth of the student body and its activities are looked for.
