Show Page 4 SIGNPOST December 11, 1959 Club News Pledge Banquets Dominate Girls' Scene V Squaws Have Tribal Dinner By Shannon Keyns Sunday night at the home of Shannon Reyns, Otyokwa held their Pledge Banquet. In a serious Indian ritual the rushees were made pledges. They were also given big' sisters to help them uphold the standards and traditions of Otyokwa. After the ceremony was completed, the squaws and their papooses jour n e y e d to the mouth of the canyon for a true tribal '(p dinner atGray-cliff. The Indian maidens really - enjoyed the "f "Night of Evil 4 Doing". The . dance was . ...... . great! Squaw Miss Keyns La R e n e Jensen won a box of Dates. Congratulations, Excels, it was the most successful Malific in years. The Christmas holidays will be busy ones for the squaws. We are looking forward to a successful dinner-dance with our brother club Excelsior, Dec. 22. Our Christmas Banquet will be soon. Sally "German" is in charge of this affair. This Friday at Carpenters Hall will be a party for all "E" men and the squaws. It sounds great, Mr. Hadley! Also coming up is Otyokwa's party with Sigma. It is said to to be an "Early Roman" party. After the dinner the members v and pledges are going to sing at the Wedding Recep t i o n of Deanne Heslop. The traditional song "D ear Friend" will be sung and a gift of a pink blanket with Sharmea embroidered in black will be given her by the club. Now that the new members are coming in Jeri Dabling has "a bright glow in her eye. She'll have some money. In case you're wondering about the excitement that took place last Monday morning in Building Four you won't have to look very far.
