' V FRIDAY, TAN. 7th ' 3 "" JJ '; 'taJ- MSA I ..J-''. ..Li - J fr3 , v ir By Penelope For those poor unfortunates who have yet to blaze their way-thru one or more quarterly exams, we offer here ways and means for a safe journey. First of all we must consider equipment. It is most important to secure the book which has been associated with-the course. This undoubtedly will be the most difficult piece of equipment to find. Next, prepare a light lunch to stimulate thought. Two dozen sandwiches, a glass of milk, half a cherry pie, and a chocolate bar made a tempting menu. A well sharpened ax, a compass, and a collection of trail signs are also necessary. Secondly, the actual adventure must be discussed. With the equipment at hand, assume a comfortable position and straightway proceed with the task. The front of the book may., be recognized by the preface and contents which have been set up as definite trail signs. Hold the ax in the right hand and read from left to right, cutting marks in the denser parts to avoid confusion. The general direction may be determined by the moss on the north side of the words or by the compass. Chapter headings and sub-titles should be noted as land marks. The best method is to continue in a constant direction until the end comes or the reading matter is exhausted..By this time the student should kuow as much as he ever will about the course, and bravely attack the exam. After all, he is no worse off than the rest of us. Dictionary For Inebriates 1. Don't worry about the cracked ceiling, mother, father will come home plastered. 2.
