Beverley Briem is general chairman of the dinner and Doris Se-crist will act as toastmistress. During the evening three pledges, La Venna Marble, Kathleen Graham, and Margaret Tarren, will be made members of the club, and will receive corsages, and old pins. Netta Lavin is chairman of arrangements and her committee includes Vivian Faulhaber, Carol Smith, and Donna Jenkins. Janet Hilton will act as chairman of the invitational committee with Marion Mikkleson, Marcelle Simpson, and Florence Main. Campfire Party At the canyon home of Char-lene Clark last Monday. May 22, La Dianaeda members enjoyed an outdoor campfire party. Typical picnic food was served. Fred Foulger Elected President of Phoenix Phoenix members and feminine guests dinner-danced at the Hotel Utah Rendezvous last Saturday evening at the club's final banquet of the school year. May 25, by becoming the wife of Jack Evans. The bride's home was the scene of the wedding. The young couple may take a trip to the San Francisco fair as a honeymoon, and will later make their home in Ogden. The bride will not return to school. "I'll be keeping house next fall," she said. Excelsior Members Install New Of ficiers Before attending the A. W. S. formal last Friday night, Excelsior members gathered at the Hotel Ben Lomond Japanese room for their final banquet. During the evening officers of the organization for next school year were announced. Kent Rounds was chosen president, Ray Pierson, vice-president, and Bob Peterson, secretary. Approximately twenty-t h r e e members attended. Mr. Orlo Childs, club advisor, was presented with a gift and outgoing officers gave speeches. Twelve Girls Organize New Social Club Tiki-Kapa-Kapa is the name selected by twelve coeds for a new social organization next school year. On May 23 in the Women's Lounge plans were drawn up by the twelve charter members: Mar.iorie Jensen, Beverley Christensen, Mar.iorie Carver, Helen Nelson, Nedra Jensen, Irene Cook, Aileen Thatcher, Lillian Lund, Elinor Clark, Charlene Turner, Marie Stander, and Bonnie Murphy. Wine and tan have been selected for the club colors. Uniforms for next year have not yet been chosen Tuesday they will bicycle to the Girl Scout home for a weinie roast. Broken Limb Meets Tests Resting luxuriously in her bed yesterday, Miss Joyce Shaugh-nessy took her final tests in ease and style. Miss Shaughnessy was, a short time ago. a guest on the Viking hike to Mt. Ogden. Enjoying to the full her zest for living, Miss Shaughnessy was one of the liveliest members of the party. Sliding down the steep snow banks was a favorite pastime; and Miss Shaughnessy was getting her share of slides when, in caroming down the bank she shot squarely against a rock imbedded in the snow. A bone in her ankle snapped. Frenisti brought their active year to a close at an informal banquet at. which the four outgoing officers turned over their offices to the new leaders. Bill Chase, Le Moyne Peterson, Dean Brown, and Stanley Johnson accepted their positions from Chester Gilgen, Raulston Zun-dell, Aaron Roylance, and Ralph Fuller, who have acted as president, vice-president, secretary, and reporter, respectively. Chester Gilgen, retiring president, presented to Mr. Leland Monson, club sponsor, a Frenisti pin, and on behalf of the club thanked him for his work with the club. Iota Tau Kappa Dinner at Knob Hill Iota Tau Kappa held its final banquet for the year Thursday evening, May 25, at the Knob Hill tearoom. Sweet peas formed the centerpiece and each member wore a corsage of the same flower. Highlight of the evening was the introduction of the new officers by the officers of this year. They are: Helen Moore, president; Lorene Taylor, vice president; Roberta Wade, secretary; Kathleen Jones, treasurer; Va-Lois Burnett, reporter; Lois Bel-nap, historian; Agnes Jensen, A W. S. representative ; Evelyn Tibbets, athletic manager; and Kathleen Benson, inter-club council representative. The club presented their adviser, Helena Danielson, with an engraved gold compact, and their president, Donna Hogge, with a photograph album. Special guests of the evening were Mrs. H. A. Dixon and Mrs. Lucile Petty. Vikings Entertain Partners at Outdoor Sports Party Horseback riding, swimming, roller-skating, and a chicken dinner were enjoyed by Viking members and dates Monday evening in Morgan. Grant Reese was host to the party at his home. Dramatists Honor Coach Allred To establish a drama club and to honor Mr. and Mrs. Thatcher Allred, a banquet was held at Cobble Cottage, Monday. Ronald Cole, master of ceremonies. Rose Burchell sang two operatic numbers accompanied by Marie Hayden. Gilbert Tol-hurst also sang. Scenes from the plays of the last two years were reenacted. The Women's Lounge was decorated with groups of white tapers surrounded by red peonies and baskets of spring flowers. The centerpiece was also arranged with white tapers and rose buds at the base of the takers were some dozen giant white rose symmetrically interspersed.Mrs. Charles A. Osmond was general chairman. The decoration committee included Mrs. Garnett Littlefield, chairman; Mrs. C. H. Anderson, Miss Ruth Peterson, and Mrs. Ira Markham. Other committees were: refreshments, Mrs. Lydia Tanner, chairman, Mrs. Cluster Nils-son, Mrs. Wallace Baddley; music, Mrs. Lucile O. Petty; invitations, Mrs Clarisse Hall; serving. Miss Eva Browning and Miss Nancy Barker. Hostesses of the lounge were Mrs. Lucile O. Petty and Miss Marian Read. Roline Pitt Chosen Leader of Whip Club Last Tuesday evening, May 23, in the Hotel Ben Lomond Spanish room, Whip club members enjoyed the last lovely social event of their organization calendar.Favors were miniature whips on purple W's. Farrell Ensign, Beverley Briem, and Margaret Smith gave toasts. A beautiful silver trophy was presented to the club by Mrs. R. W. Petty for outstanding service in school activities.
