The Press says: It is possible that Vice-President Ho-bart Ho-bart may be unable to preside at the next session of the United States senate. sen-ate. More than that, it is now recognized recog-nized as a serious probability that he will not be in physical condition to accept a nomination as a running-mate of President Mclvinley in the next cam paign. The disease from which Mr. Hobart suffers is kidney trouble, not acute, but of a f jrra requiring absolute rest for a long time. The fact has been known to his friends, but this is the first announcement an-nouncement that his illness is so serious as to threaten an actual withdrawal from the duties of his public position. |
