Show Mr-. Sheiau Iltuvy and Mrs. Press L;iml arrived from Deer Lodge Thursday Thurs-day for a few days visit. Mrs. Ann C. Woodbury has gone to Mexico on a visit, and is expected to remain there until after Christmas. Elder Jo.-cph T. Atkiu writes "All is well tit this city: The News is always met with a hearty welcome." Joseph Whiitwer and Miss Nellie Atkin, school teachers in the Santa Clara school, were visiting the schools here Wednesday. They paid our sanc- G. O. Walker, hue of the Sacramento mine at Murcur, arrived here Wednesday. Wednes-day. We understand that Mr. Walker has been engaged as general overseer of the St. George Copper Co. He is a guest of the Snow hotel. George E. Miles will take over the position of bookkeeper and salesman at the Rio Virgin Mills next Monday. Mr. Miles is the right man for the place, and we congratulate the Mill management iu securing his services. G. A. Ellingson, of Lehi, is at the Snow hotel. Mr. Ellingson is a sufferer suffer-er from lung trouble, and has come to Dixie to stay the winter, in hopes that the mild and clear climate will benefit him. He is perfectly charmed with St. George. |
