Show l-'reuch to Leave Vii-diodn. London, Oct. 31. The Paris correspondent corre-spondent ot the Sunday special says that the general opinion is that Major Marchand's retirement from Fashoda will be followed by a complete evacuation evacu-ation of that place by the French. This change of policy is attributed to the disappointed hopes regarding the action of Russia. Though it is oth-eially oth-eially denied that Major Marehand has beeu ordered to return, it is likely that be will be summoned to Paris for consultation. |
