Show SALT LAKE DEMOCRATS. Nominate Candidates for the State Senate mid tho Lower House. Salt Lake City, Utah. Sept. 10. Tho Democratic county convention rnct at the threatre and nominated the two candidates for state senator and four of the ten representatives to the lower house. It also selected the 129 delegates dele-gates to the state convention. Chairman Lloyd called the convention conven-tion to order and named the temporary officers of the convention, Hon. James H. Moyle for the chairmanship, Mrs. Alice Merrill Home, as secretary and John E. Hansen assistant secretary. The committee on permanent organization organi-zation asked that the temporary officers be made permanent, with Mrs. L. R. Rhodes, vice president, and Mathew Thomas readiug clerk, sergeant-at-arms, George Dreberg, Morino Gillespie Gilles-pie and Ambrose T. Mason. The report re-port was adopted. The committees having reported, the voting for the selection of candidates began with the following result: For State Senators R. K' Thomas of Salt Lake, Orson F. 'Whitney of Salt Lake. For the House of Representatives-Samuel Representatives-Samuel IV. Stewart of Salt Lake, Hebet Bennion of Taylorsville, Benjamin F. Lloyd of Salt Lake, Horace Cum tilings of East Mill Creek. The convention will meet today and complete the ticket for the lower house. |
