Large Crowds Greet the Tresldent. Lafayette. Ind., Oct. 7. As the presidential train went westward through Ohio and Indiana the crowds at the stations grew larger. At every station the crowd clamored loudly for a speech but the president skillfully evaded these requests by bringing out memhers of the cabinet, each of whom was greeted with applause. The president pres-ident shook hands with as many as could reach him at the stations. His greeting everywhere was most enthusiastic.
